500 Error? was created by PhoenixUK
Hi Guys,

I've a problem at present whereby if I login to the front end of my community site by an account that's already linked to my FB, it throws me a 500 error as evidenced in the following screenshot.

File Attachment:

I'm not sure why this would be happening, as every other aspect of my site seems to be functioning just fine?

I look forward to hearing from you in due course.

Regards,
Rob

We released v5.2.2 of JFBConnect earlier today which should fix this issue. It was occurring in very specific circumstances on some sites.

If that doesn't help, then go to the JFBConnect - Usermap area. Search for the Joomla user that is having issues and see if the 'mapping' to the Facebook account is correct (it's for the Facebook user you expect it to be for). If you want to try, you can click the box next to that user and click "Delete" to delete *just* the mapping between that Joomla user and the social network. That may help clear up any issues that may exist between the connection for some reason and you can try to re-connect them by logging in again.

I hope that helps, but if not, let us know, and we'll gladly help investigate further.

Thanks,
Alex

Alex,

That's awesome and seems to have done the trick straight away since I updated to 5.2.2, thank you. :D

Awesome! Glad to hear the new released fixed up your issue. It's been a good release overall so far and should really make everything even more rock-solid than it was.

As always though, should you run into anything else or have any suggestions, feedback or general comments, we'd love to hear them.

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for JFBConnect, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It certainly isn't required, but is very appreciated:

Thanks,
Alex
