Hi,

on my website the open graphs of JFB Connect does not work on categories, in particular it fails to take the intro image of Joomla content that I have assigned for each category.

I have also created objects as follows, but the result does not change.

What should I do, please?

Regards

Your configuration seems correct. When you say, "it fails to take the intro image of Joomla content that I have assigned for each category.", can you explain how you have set the image for a category?

When the "Image Type" is set to "Category Image", that means the og:image should be set to whatever is set in the Category -> Options (tab) -> Image (field) setting.

It will -not- look at the Description HTML and use an image from from that HTML.

I hope that helps explain, but if it's still not working, please let us know a category URL from your site we can take a look at to see what is being set.

Thanks,
Alex

When you say 'hidden', do you mean that the link is not accessible to the public? The page must be accessible for Facebook to scan the HTML and view the Open Graph tags. If that page requires a login to your site to view or is restricted in some way, then Facebook will not be able to view the HTML of that page either.

That may be why the open graph tag doesn't seem to be work.

If you just don't want to publish the link here, you can use the Contact Us link at the top of this page to send us a private email with the link.

I hope that helps,
Alex
