Are instagram and windows live logins required when you have azure and facebook?  Looking at what facebook developer says, may not even work in the case of instagram.  Can anyone confirm?Instagram Basic Display allows apps to access the Instagram Basic Display API , which provides read-only access to basic data in app users' Instagram accounts.Use this tab to configure the API's authorization window so you can get permissions from users, and to submit your app for App Review when you are ready to switch it to Live Mode.Note that Basic Display is not an authentication tool. Data returned by the API cannot be used to authenticate your app users or log them into your app. If your app uses API data to authenticate users, it will be rejected during App Review. If you need an authentication solution, use Facebook Login instead.

Both Instagram and Windows Live are no longer recommended. We leave them in JFBConnect as sites that have them configured have users that login with those networks. There is no migration path for a user that logged in with Instagram to Facebook or Windows Live to AzureAD provided by those social networks.

With that said, JFBConnect can automatically link user accounts with the same email address. So, if you have a site that's had Instagram or Windows Live configured on it, and a user has authenticated with those networks, you can enable the "Automatically Link Accounts by Email" setting in JFBConnect. Then, if you disable (for instance) WindowsLive and enable Azure AD and a user logs in with AzureAd:
* JFBConnect will check if their AzureAD email is already in the Joomla user list (whether they created a Joomla account or previously logged in using WindowsLive)
* If so, they're Azure AD account will immediately be linked to the existing Joomla account.

The problem is for sites that don't want to use the automatic linking or for users that have different email addresses for different social networks.

WindowsLive no longer allows creating apps, so it's not possible to set that up. Instagram still allows apps and logins from apps that were created before Review Mode was instated.

Until the authentication is no longer allowed, we'll still leave those providers in JFBConnect for users who have set it up in the past.

I hope that helps explain,
Alex
