Hello

I can see some time that exist option to custom share by JFB. My post is without image, and I want add a custon image for all page share. It remember is a code you add between your page codes. But i can not find it more. Where are? I was search for custom share and has no result, And i was in documentation i can not find it more.

Please can you give a link for a tutorial to use custom share?

JFBConnect will try to set the tags for your content automatically. You can set or override the metadata that is generated by using the following tags in your content:
{SCLogin title=Best Title for Page}
{SCLogin description=Better description for page}
{SCLogin image=http://site.com/link-to-image.jpg}

I find now the documentation to work with this tags, but can not undastant it, i m new to joomla. Do you have some tutorial with step-by-step to teacher work with this tags?

I try and it not work to me. I have a extension with a editor and add these tags into this editor. I work in this same editor alread with buttons jfb share and it work well, but for these tags it print the tag, strange, why? I try share the page and not work this function.

If you have a link to step-by-step or say me how do, please i ll be grateful.

Alex mistyped the code, it's not SCLogin easy-tag, it's SCOpenGraph:
{SCOpenGraph title=Best Title for Page} 
{SCOpenGraph description=Better description for page} 
{SCOpenGraph image=http://site.com/link-to-image.jpg}

You won't see anything visible on the page, but if you look at the page source, you'll see updated open graph tags, such as

< meta property="og:image" content="site.com/link-to-image.jpg"/ >
< meta property="og:title" content="Best Title for Page"/ >
< meta property="og:description" content="Better description for page"/ >


Here's a page on how to set Open Graph tags with JFBConnect. Please remember once the tags are setup properly on your page, you will need to re-scrape the page in the FB sharing debugger for Facebook to see any changes and show a new preview.

Thanks melissa, I can remeber that is this code I see before. So I add these tags codes and it really now was insible in the page. good. I do debug in facebook, in this page (developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/) but my data share not changed to my new data into the tags. It say in the tutorial that I will see imediatelly in the facebook debug page. Something was wrong so?

just show me a erro with my old data share without image

I can not undastant why open graft not use the original pictures has in this page! if it use i dont need do a custom share. this page has 3 pictures but open graft not use any.

Could you provide the specific URL that you're testing in the Sharing Debugger so that I can look at the source of the page and see what FB has scraped?

Ok here you go the url:
You can see that this page has 3 pictures but open graft share no picture! This page has too these tags custom share with image, but debug facebook dont show it!

However Now i can see by ctrl+U google that exist no code about this tags as documentation says. But i can see that exist this tag in my editor every time, and invisible when it is published. I can not undastant what happen.

After new tags are on the page, the page needed to be re-scraped as I mentioned. After you put the URL in the sharing debugger and hit the Debug button, you then need to hit the "Scrape Again" button.

The last scrape was 22 hours ago, so I did it again and received this error:

Provided og:image, www.aloexterior.com/images/com_hotspots....8f86f6_penteado2.jpg could not be downloaded because it exceeded the maximum allowed sized of 8Mb or your server was too slow to respond.

Could you please go into the JFBConnect backend > Social Meta > Configuration tab and enable the "Image Size Tags" option? Then go and re-scrape the page again and see if the error is resolved.

You can see that this page has 3 pictures but open graft share no picture!

There is only one og:image tag on the page, not three. But as I stated above, please try to fix the size error with my suggestion and that og:image should take effect.

I enable the "Image Size Tags" option and go to facebook debug and scrape again, it show no error, it show the correct image from the tag. but i try share the this page now and continue without image. maybe it take some time to work, i dont know, becouse documetation say imediately. so some error continue?

However, for other pages in the site, I will have many pages to share, with this option enable with image size, it continue not share images, i ll have pages like classifieds, can not add tags for all pages, it will added automactic for users, and has only one code for all classiefids, need that open graft share images without tags too!

Classified to sharethis page not shage image too, but here i can not have tags.

After this changes I scrape this other page too and it continue the fisrt error no og image

Some more information for this case, I can see that de most big image from my pages have only 341kb. I can not undastant why jfb not share images in my site. I can not undastant too what was this error about 8MB size limit. there is no images as bigger as it.
