Yes, sadly some of our documentation is outdated (that page is especially old). Now that the latest release is out, I will be working on trying to get it more current.
1. Integration with EasySocial has gotten easier with time. To enable the social login buttons (like Login with Facebook, Twitter, etc), switch the EasySocial backend > Settings > Social > Facebook tab > 'JFBConnect Integrations' option to Enabled. This will add our social login buttons to the appropriate EasySocial views.
2. Then I would recommend following the "Import Data into Profiles" at our
Quick Start Guide
for how to import your social network data into your EasySocial profiles.
These are the two basic steps for integration, and hopefully this will get you started more easily. Please let us know if you have any questions or issues that arise as you try the above.
