Dear Melissa i enabled the 'Open Graph - Content' plugin as you told me and the "Autopost Plugins" list displayed the "All ojects (article) from Joomla Content" which i selected and saved the settings. Now the autopost works! I have another question now: i was asked to turn off automatic post. People here prefer to be able to chose what will be post to FB. But what they asked me is whether they will be able to chose whatever article they like, not based on some rule. I mean they don't want to pose a rule like eg. articles from "Pets" category will be posted. They want to be able to select the articles they want to post to FB from a certain category (or some multiple categories). Is that possible using open graph objects? Ideally they would like to have a check mark beside every Joomla article and just tick it when they want to post it to FB. (We had used a freeware extension that offered this functionality but didn't post to FB page, only to FB account. They liked it and wanted something like this..) Is this possible in JFBConnexct?
Thank you very much!

Replied by mel on topic Channel Owner list is empty
Instead of automatic posting, we also have the option to do manual posting on the front-end using our Social Toolbar, as described here . This is not a selectable list like you are requesting. Instead, you will have to visit the specific URLs that you want to post. Also, please note, that only users in the group with the "Post on Social Network" for JFBConnect will see the social toolbar. You can set those permissions in the JFBConnect > Overview > 'Options' button.

Dear Melissa thank you again. I can only log in to the back-end of the joomla website and there is no login option in the front-end,and it won't be either. Isn't an alternative way to do selective post using this toolbar?
Another question is that peole here have asked me to make their facebook account look like the website from which we want to autopost. I know thath this can be used using facebook canvas. While it is not clear to me what exactly this is, i try to follow these instructions:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/face...s/facebook-page-tabs
So i run AutoTune and get an error at the Error Check step. The error says "JFBConnect Remote Error Check
Checks performed on: www.minedu.gov.gr/
Warning: Issues were found with your site. Please check all tests below and correct any warnings or errors.

Test: JFBCSystem plugin is enabled
Fail: Not Detected! Please enable in the Site Config area of Autotune or in the Joomla plugin manager.
"

and some other things, i didnt include all of it but the beginning

My site is not in Offline mode, its a live website. The JFBCSystem plugin is enabled. So i stoppped and don't know what to do. The facebook App i use is one and the same as i used to make autopost possible. I suppose i don't have to create another app, do i?

Sorry for the delayed response. Hopefully we can help clear up your questions for you.

Isn't an alternative way to do selective post using this toolbar?

Unfortunately, there isn't. The social toolbar displays on the front end only when a super admin is authenticated. We don't have any methods to create social posts from the admin section of the site and JFBConnect doesn't show the social toolbar to guests for obvious reasons.

Test: JFBCSystem plugin is enabled
Fail: Not Detected! Please enable in the Site Config area of Autotune or in the Joomla plugin manager."

I just looked at your site and it does not look like the JFBCSystem plugin is enabled. When it is, there should be multiple signs of it in the HTML, like the jfbconnect.js file is included, the Facebook Javascript library is initialized and some JFBConnect-specific Javascript is loaded on the page for our features to function properly. I'm not sure why that wouldn't be there if the JFBCSystem plugin is enabled, but that will need to be figured out.

Another question is that peole here have asked me to make their facebook account look like the website from which we want to autopost. I know thath this can be used using facebook canvas. While it is not clear to me what exactly this is, i try to follow these instructions:

I'm not exactly sure what they mean by this either. The best way I can describe the Canvas or Facebook Page Tab features is by example:
www.facebook.com/SourceCoast/app/116488908376294/
That is a Page Tab. It loads our website within our Facebook Page. That can be used to load your home page, or any sub-page, like a newsletter signup form, events page or a shop page.

The Facebook Canvas looks like the URL below. It's outside of the Facebook Page and works on it's own. It's a way to completely house your site within Facebook which may or may not be what you're looking for:
apps.facebook.com/joomla-extensions/

I hope that helps,
Alex

Alex thanks again! I checked in the joomla backend and the JFBCSystem plugin is enabled...

Ok, let's say i want to do something similar to the fb tab of sourcecoast:
I click on the Page Tab/Canvas menu of JFBConnect and click the "Application as Page Tab" tab. There it says "Page Tab Configuration Status
Your Page Tab application appears to be setup properly. To add it to your Facebook Page, Click here."
When i click there, i get a menu on my facebook page (under the "More" menu) named JFBconnect. I click it and a page is displayed with left and right facebook columns but in the center it is empty. It doesn't work right for me as the fb tab of sourcecoast... i don't understand why it doesn't fill in with my website..
Could you help me to solve this?

Regarding the JFBCSystem plugin, sorry for the confusion. I checked the site that you had run Autotune on from this account, but it looks like you have another subscription. I just looked at the actual site you posted above and it does look like the system plugin is properly enabled.

As for the Page Tab, there's a few reasons for what could be causing your problem. Can you let us know the Facebook Page we should be testing with? I just went to the page linked to from your home page, but there was no Page Tab setup there.

Once we see it, it should be pretty easy to figure out the problem.

Thanks,
Alex

Alex you didn't see the JFBconnect menu on FB because i had removed it for a while. Now i brought it back again (it's in the fifth tab under the main FB photograph). The FB is www.facebook.com/minedu.gr/
Could you check it now please?

Whew, thanks for your patience! I just got a chance to look at your Facebook Page. The reason it's not displaying is because of the following error showing in the browser console:

Refused to display 'www.minedu.gov.gr/' in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'SAMEORIGIN'.

That message means that your server or a security extension on your site is preventing your content from being shown within an iFrame.

You'll need to investigate what is setting the X-Frame-Options header on your server or site and disable that so your site can be used in a Facebook Page.

I hope that helps,
Alex
