JFBCSystem plugin was created by arokov
Hello,

In the error check I got the following error:

Test: JFBCSystem plugin is enabled
Fail: Not Detected! Please enable in the Site Config area of Autotune or in the Joomla plugin manager.

If the JFBCSystem plugin is enabled, but you still get this error, please check:
Your site is not in Offline Mode. If so, turn your site Online and re-run the Error Checker.
If you have a 'mobile template', disable it and re-test
Some templates have their own Facebook integration, and actively try to remove other Facebook extensions files. Try a different template.

Strange, I did not change anything in JFBConnect recently, and everything worked fine the last time I checked. Now it says that I need to enable a plugin which is already enabled. None of the points apply that I needed to check.

At the moment JFBConnect does not work, in spite of the fact that I have not changed anything in JFBConnect. I updated other components on the site but no new components or plugins were installed, only old ones updated.
I would appreciate any help
Thank you

You have JCH Optimize enabled on your site and it's combining and compressing all the Javascript on the page. Because of that, our Error Check tool can't find and detect the features it's looking for.

You can disable JCH and re-run the Error Check tool, quickly, just to verify things work. Beyond that, test if you're having any real functional issues with JCH is enabled. If not, then things are likely just fine and you can ignore that error check report.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello Alex,

Negative.

I disabled JCH pro plugin and the same problem persists. The problem is not the error check and the fact that it indicates the problem, the real problem is that JFBConnect simply doesn't work because trying to log in with Facebook or Google returns a HTTP ERROR 500, with a blank white page.
I made sure I cleaned the cache before trying to log in with facebook after having disabled the JCH Optimize plugin. I guess JCH may not have anything to do with this problem.
Any ideas?
I left the jch plugin disabled on the site for you to be able check, if you could.
I'm open to any suggestion.
Thank you and best regards
Aron

Aron,
Thanks for explaining further. If you're getting a blank white page error, please go to the Joomla -> Global Configuration area and set Error Reporting to 'Maximum'. That should show an error message on the white page. Let us know that error message and we should be able to help narrow things down further.

Another quick thing to test is simply disabling all Social Profile plugins you have enabled and trying again. If it works, re-enable them one by one to narrow down the culprit.

Thanks,
Alex

Here is the error message that I got after maximum error reporting was set in global configuration. I got it after trying to log in with Facebook

Catchable fatal error: Argument 1 passed to PlgSystemRedirect::handleError() must be an instance of JException, instance of Exception given in /home/onlinea1/public_html/plugins/system/redirect/redirect.php on line 55

I found two socialprofiles in the plugins:

Social Profiles - Joomla
Social Profiles - Custom DB

Both of them are disabled and were disabled earlier. That didn't solve the problem. I enabled them but in vain. Nothing changed.

I'm really confused here. There's a bug report in Joomla about this bug, but it sounds like it was ultimately caused by another extension (though it's frustratingly not mentioned which one.. not us though):
issues.joomla.org/tracker/joomla-cms/10003

Can you please try disabling the System - Redirect plugin, temporarily, and see if authentication works or if a different error message is displayed? That will help us figure out where to go next.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

This is what I did:

1. I disabled all the plugins, all of them.
2. I enabled the JFBConnect all necessary plugins and checked that the sytsem worked. It worked fine.
3. I started enabling the plugins them one by one and tested if the login function with FB works or there is an error message.
4. I found out that with sh404sef system plugin enabled, the strange problem occured
5. I went to sh404sef component in the backend, clicked on configuration and in the Component tab I set up JFBConnect to use joomla router.
6. I enabled the sh404sef plugin and voila, it works.

Now I try to re-enable all the plugins but I hope that was the source of the problem.
I'll be in touch if this occurs again, or the problem is not got rid of. I just wote down the steps of my solution in case other people out there run into the same problem.

Ahh.. yes, sh404SEF should be set to not alter JFBConnect URLs. We've never heard of that issue when it's not configured that way, but it sounds like that behavior changed in Joomla 3.5.1, so it may just not be a common issue yet.

Definitely keep us posted if you run into anything else.

Thanks,
Alex
