Topic-icon Facebook logged in causes page to refresh (Joomla 3.5)

Hi,

I have JFBConnect set up for facebook, google+ and LinkIn.

Before upgrading the system to Joomla 3.5, there is no issue for all 3 after logging in my site.

However, after the upgrade, facebook behaves differently from google+ and LinkIn.

It seems the following "refresh" code is inserted into the meta of webpage whenever it is logged in by facebook account:
<meta http-equiv="refresh" content="2;url=https://www.xxx.com/index.php?option=yyy" />

It doesn't happen to google+ and LinkIn login at all.

Would you please advise what might have caused this and if there's a fix?

JFBConnect version is 6.5.3

Thanks.

There isn't any issue like what you describe that we've heard of in Joomla 3.5. We've done a lot of testing with 3.5 and many users are already using both JFBConnect and Joomla 3.5 without issue.

As to the html tag you mention, JFBConnect doesn't ever insert any meta refresh tag into the page and Facebook doesn't either. Can you provide the full URL after the ? so we can understand a little bit more about the issue? Just showing yyy doesn't really help narrow things down much. When I go to your site, it's in offline mode, so I can't test myself.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

Sorry, the site is still under development so it is offline most of the time.

I just extended my subscription. Then, I post a new ad to my site with facebook login and the "refresh" is not there.

Let me do more testing to see if there is any issue.

Thanks,
Ken

Ken,
Glad to hear it sounds like it's somehow resolved itself. Keep testing though, and let us know if you do run into any further issues.

Thanks,
Alex
