Hi Alex,

Long time since I have been back here but I have just signed back up for the latest version and I am getting an error when running Autotune, it cannot authenticate with Facebook as it gives this error " Error: Uh oh! We could not fetch page due to an unknown error."

I have checked and the App is live and available to the public so I do not know what else to do?

I'm unsure why, but our server is having problems reading your site's SSL certificate. I don't think it has anything to do with your site though and probably an SSL update that our server needs for authenticating other certificates.

As for the Error Check, I just went through your page manually. The Error Check tool would have spotted that there's an inclusion of the very, very old Facebook Javascript library on your site. That inclusion of the //connect.facebook.net/en_GB/all.js file would cause conflicts with various Facebook features that JFBConnect relies on. We include the new Javascript library that Facebook has recommended for more than 3 years now.

The module including the other library uses the CSS class name of mod_fuotw and is adding the Facebook Like Box to the page. The Like Box also has been deprecated. Facebook recommends the Page Plugin, which JFBConnect supports. I'd recommend you replace that module with a similar feature from JFBConnect.

I hope that helps get you going, but if you need anything else, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

Sorry I do not quite understand which component you are refering to, what do I have to remove and replace it with to get the error to go away please.

Thanks in advance

I don't know what component or extension it is. However, I just looked at your page again and the code is missing now.

From what I can see, there's nothing the Error Check tool would call out as a problem now. Are you running into any functional issues? If so, let us know what they are and we'll gladly help however we can.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

I am getting problems with the Facbook authentication process, it will not work for some reason, I am guessing it is to do with the error check problem I am having and as you pointed out there seems to be a problem with the SSL certificate and your server authenticating it?

I could use some help please?

Thanks

Giancarlo

What issue are you having? Can you let me know if you're seeing an error message or something else when you try?

I just used the Facebook login button on your site without issue, so not sure where the problem is.

As for the SSL error with our Error Check tool, that's likely an issue on *our* server, not yours. I don't think that's related at all.

Thanks,
Alex

Ahhh.. my guess is that you've created a Channel, but there's an issue getting the proper permission from Facebook. That can happen in specific situations where the authentication token JFBConnect stored for the user may have become stale.

Can you check out the quick fix in the post below and see if it helps get you going:

A similar fix is planned for our next release. Hopefully, that will get you going now though.

Thanks,
Alex
