Hi, sorry for the very basic post.
Recently set up JFBConnect. Can now login to our joomla Tennis site via Facebook. Brilliant.
Also managed to add a new module 'JFBC Social Share' where I used the URL of the facebook page for our Tennis club. So now, I get the Like & Share buttons appearing on my Joomla site referring to the facebook page I configured on the module's URL box..
What I would also like to do is get the feed/timeline of that facebook page to appear on the Joomla site. figured that would be done by setting up a Channel? Is that right? I don't particularly want to be able to post on the facebook page from the website but would like to see the posts. So I thought I would be able to select the facebook page ID, and link it somehow? But instead the Channel option just asks for a user, and when I add myself, I get "The selected user has not granted the "manage_pages" -
I presume this is because on the facebook developers page, I haven't gone as far as submitting approval for manage_pages. But as I said, All I want to do is list the timeline of one particular facebook page, with it's own unique ID?

Thanks
Marek

The Channel option is the very flexible, yet more complex, way to show your Page stream on your site. Setting one up does require you to authenticate with Facebook on the front-end and then setup the channel details. The SCSocialStream module can then display the stream, like you see below on this page. There are also features to post back to your Page, but it doesn't sound like that's what you're looking for yet.

Another option that is easier to implement and works for may be the Facebook Page Plugin. This is Facebook's own Page widget for showing the Page header, stream and Like button. To configure that, create a new SCSocialWidget module configured as Facebook -> Page Plugin.

I hope that helps, but if you need anything else, just let me know.

Thanks,
Alex
