Dynamicly set kunena og:image to topic icon was created by [email protected]

has anyone ever done this that may know how.

I have a topic that automatically posts back to facebook that we change the icon depending on a status. its a quick visual queue.

UNfortunately since i needed to set a default image for other pages, it uses that.

Any ideas how i can modify?

The og:image isn't meant to change that much. Facebook will only re-scan the page every few days to find the og:image tag and, even then, won't like that it's changing repeatedly for the same page (that can be abused in various ways).

If I'm understanding what you're asking, I'd try to think of a different option or use the default image.

I'll explain,

We created some custom topic icons to support a particualr topic status, a simple red green yellow. icon.

The posts dont get replies, and the topic is locked. we create a new topic weekly. each topic hasi ts own url and autoposted back via rss graffiti (thatmethod subject to change)

it is taking the og image of the default settings when posting to fb, i would prefer it use the topic icon. any way to adjust it?

We don't have a built-in way that would automatically detect and set the icon for you. However, if you're creating the topic, you can always add the following tag right into the post to set the Open Graph image for the page to whatever you want:

{SCOpenGraph image=http://yoursite.com/yellow-icon.png}
