I wish to stop the menu thing from showing that is shown in the image below. I do not like it one bit but can't work out how to hide it.

Please advise how I stop it from showing on any part of my site?

In JFBConnect > Configuration > General, there is a setting called 'Enable Social Toolbar'. When enabled, it is only shown to super-administrators on your front-end. You should be able to set this to disabled to turn off that menu.
