JFBConnect provides a couple different options for adding Facebook Feeds to your page.

1. You can create a Channel for the Facebook Page in our backend and then use our SCSocialSteram module to display the channel. For information on how to do this, see the following links:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/post...reate-social-channel
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/posting/social-streams

2. The Like Box widget can add a simple feed for your Facebook page along with the ability to Like the Facebook Page. You can add this widget to your page via the SCSocialWidget module or by manually inserting the {JFBCFan} easy-tag to your content.

This should get you started, but let me know if you have any more questions.

As noted in my previous response, the two links listed under #1 should provide a good guide on how to do what you're asking. If you're having trouble with a particular step in those guides, please let us know and we'd be happy to help you further.

I was getting some errors like below while creating the Channel, also i tried fixing it but i can't. Can you please help me?

Errors

The selected user has not authenticated with Facebook. Please have them do so on the front-end of the site.

The selected user has not granted the "manage_pages" permission. Please have them login on the front-end of the site and accept the correct permission.

What version of JFBConnect are you using? It sounds like from the behavior you are describing that you are using JFBConnect v6.2.3. Version 6.2.4 improved the channel setup process and fixed a number of bugs with creating channels, and I would highly recommend upgrading to the latest version for channel setup.

Those errors mean that you need to log in via Facebook (not Joomla) on your front-end of the site with the user selected in the Channel. You can log in via a Joomla account and then map it to a Facebook account using the SCLogin module. But this authentication must be done first before the user can be used properly in the channel. Regardless of which version you're using, a channel can only be set up with a user that has authenticated via the social network.

After creating the channel, on authentication on the front-end, you should also be prompted to accept the manage_pages permission, which is also necessary for the pages channel to work. If you're not prompted and are on still 6.2.3, I would recommend deleting your channel, upgrading and then re-creating your channel. Otherwise, you can also try some of the troubleshooting tips listed at the bottom of www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/post...reate-social-channel

I think this should help you progress, but please let me know if you are still having problems.

You should be able to update JFBConnect through the Joomla Update Manager in your backend administrator area now. Go to Extensions > Extension Manager > Update and click the Find Updates button. JFBConnect should show up in that list. If you have trouble using the Update Manager, you can also always log in to sourcecoast.com, go to My Account > My Downloads to find the installation package.

Package download failed: www.sourcecoast.com/index.php?o … mmy=my.zip

The only thing that I can guess on why you're seeing that error is that maybe you haven't set your Subscriber ID in the JFBConnect > Configuration > General area. Either way you can log on to sourcecoast.com as I mentioned to get the file.

If you're referring to any of the channels or other settings that you've configured in the JFBConnect administration area, then no you will not lose these. These settings persist through upgrades. The only reason that I mentioned deleting a channel that you've created and then creating a new one with 6.2.4 is that I fixed a specific bug that created some incorrect data in the database which caused users to never be prompted for correct permissions like manage_pages. This bug would not get fixed just by upgrading, and a new channel with the new version would not have the bug.

However, if you mean that you've made custom code edits to JFBConnect, then yes you would lose them unless you back them up first and then restore them after the upgrade. Obviously, we always recommend backing up your site before upgrading/installing any Joomla extensions on your site.

I hope this helps clarify, but please let me know if you have any more questions.
