In my JFB configuration, under the 'User' block, I set my registration component to Joomla but the system keeps using JS for the registration and my issue with using JS for the registration is that the verification link sent to the user is not clickable; I know this is not so if I'm using the Joomla registration component.
Is this probably a bug or is there something I'm not doing right? What I want is to have the email verification link clickable for the user and not having to copy and paste it on his browser.

I'm assuming you mean the registration flow if a user is not using a social network to login/register. If I'm incorrect, let me know.

If clicking the standard Register link is bringing the user to the JomSocial registration flow, it's likely because you have a plugin called JomSocial Redirect in the system group enabled. That's a plugin that comes with JomSocial and will intentionally redirect all users going to the standard Joomla registration page to their registration page.
