[Solved]FB login fail

When I try to login with Facebook, I'm able to enter my credentials in the popup, but then nothing happens. Is that what you see?

Can you ensure that you've followed the Facebook Application Setup Guide , specifically step #8 for making sure your App is Public and Online?

Beyond that, I'm not seeing any issues with the login functionality. There's no Javascript errors and things seem like they should work, so I'm unsure what's happening. Can you explain what you mean by:

I can use on other template

Are you saying you can't login with just this template, but others work?

The issue is because, for some reason, Facebook is returning that the user hasn't granted the email permission. I'm not sure why that's happening though, and specifically, why it's only breaking on this template.

Can you tell me the name of another template you're using? We'll try to switch to that template on the front-end with the ?template=xyz parameter in the URL and test that way. That will help us determine what's going wrong.

The sites you linked to are all different Joomla sites. Have you tested the different template on the site that isn't working? I'm not sure what's happening here, but you mentioned that it only happens with this template. If you switch the template in the template manager, does the Facebook login functionality start to work? That will help us narrow things down further.

We just had another report of a similar issue, and were able to narrow down the cause. The issue is only happening with new Facebook Applications that were created after May 1st. We'll have an updated release out for this over the next day or 2 (after it's gone through testing) to fix this problem. If you're interested in implementing the fix now, please see the post below:

Thanks for the feedback. I'm glad to hear that change helped get you going. We'll have v6.0.6 of JFBConnect released later today or tomorrow, which will have this and a few other fixes for Facebook changes. Once it's available, we recommend updating.
