One other test that came to mind last night. We copied the HTML from the page article you linked to above to our own domain:

socialdebug.com/mediamonkie.html

The LinkedIn Share button won't display on that page because we're using your API key.. which is restricted to your own domain. However, if you enter that URL in the LinkedIn Share Button generator , you'll see the tags show properly.

With that, it very likely indicates a communication issue with LinkedIn to your server. The HTML seems correct, since they can parse it on our site. Either your domain or IP address has been blacklisted (a shared server has one IP for many websites, so don't think this means your site is 'bad'). Alternatively, it could be your host or server blocking LinkedIn's User-Agent or IP addresses, or something else.

That should help eliminate looking at a lot of the suggestions above.

If your concerned that the share button doesn't show, you can always add socialdebug.com to the "Allowed Javascript API Domains" in your LinkedIn application. I don't believe the API key has anything to do with the issues on your site, but it is one difference I'll call out between the HTML on your page and the 'copy' of it to our domain.

Finally, if your 7 friends with domains that have issues with the LinkedIn Share button were, lets say, all on the same server, hosting company, or something else similar, that would, again, be super helpful to know and would narrow things down quickly. Right now, I'm still working with a sample of 1.

I hope this helps in narrowing things down.

Thanks,
Alex
