All of a sudden...the FB login button stopped working. I was having issues with Firefox, but now it is no longer working in IE 11. I was changing the buttons from icons, to icons with text, to javascript. I checked FB dev and it is not in sandbox. I also re-ran auto tune and there were no issues. My site is www.vombudsman.com not sure what to check next. Everything passed auto-tune.

I just tested with IE 11.0.9600.16521 on a Windows 7 system. I was able to login without any issues.

Can you explain more about what is, or isn't, happening? Are there error messages or anything else you can tell us to help understand the problem?

Thanks,
Alex

Thank you for the reply. There is no error message as far as I can tell.

Kindly reference above. When I mouse-over FaceBook, I am clicking on the button. I am also using the same version of IE 11 as the one you tested with, but also had a similar issue on another computer using IE 9. Also...the FB button does not seem to be working on FireFox.

Update: I updated to the current version 6.0.3 and the same issue is present.

Thanks!

Warm regards,

Scott

In Firefox, can you go to Tools -> Developer -> Web Console and then try to click the Facebook button. If any Javascript errors show in the console, let us know what they are.

Beyond that, my only suggestion is to try on a different computer. If you have a "Security Suite" on your computer or specific addons for your browser to enhance privacy, they may be blocking the communication with Facebook or the popup that should be showing.

Not sure what's happening there, but we were definitely able to login without any issue.

I hope that helps, but keep us posted on what you find.

Thanks,
Alex

Just for your info...I have tried from 3 different computers...3 different operating systems...and 3 different versions of Internet Explorer, from three different locations. Neither of them are working. I do not know what else I could figure out...I'm not having any luck.

In the FireFox dev console it says that FB is not defined.

I cannot figure out why...but these settings have fixed the issue...in FireFox as well.

The "Show Login Credentials in Popup" setting would be what fixed it. That makes the user redirect to Facebook to authenticate instead of doing the authentication in the popup. I'm not sure why that would be necessary on your site, but I'm glad to hear you found something that fixed the issue for you.

If you need more assistance or run into anything else (hopefully not), just let us know!

Thanks,
Alex
