I believe I have followed the instructions closely on integrating community builder with JFBC. However, nothing happens when new users go to login. I see that a user is 'logged in' but they are not showing as a new user in Joomla. Below is the link and snapshot of the screen showing the button/function that is not working. Please advise.

Any thoughts? No one can register on my site...there were several conflicts that had to be resolved and now I'm ready to roll out my site, but it all hinges on the ability for people sign up for accounts, which is now impossible.

Auto registration is enabled...no cb profile fields are required. Now when I log in for the first time via LinkedIn the front end shows that I'm logged in, but the user will not register in Joomla. Any thoughts? I need to get registration working.

Can you explain what you mean by the user is logged in, but will not register in Joomla? I don't know any possible way that the user can be 'logged in' to the front-end but not have any user in the Joomla User Manager. The picture you posted above looked like the JFBConnect registration screen. When Automatic Registration is disabled, that is the normal registration flow. At that point, the user shouldn't be logged in. After filling that out and submitting, they should be logged in.

Beyond the above, please check:
* The Joomla User Manager (not just the CB User Manager) to see if an account was created.
* Disable any user or system plugins (or any CB plugins) that may be trying to automatically redirect a user after registration. If our registration flow is interrupted by a redirect, that may be the problem.

If none of that helps, let me know a URL where we can see the problem and test. We'll gladly help however we can.

Thanks,
Alex

Tks for reply. When I log in via linkedin the logout button appears but the top m
enu and other parts of the site that are viewable to registered users no longer appear.

I will follow the guidance above and report back.

Very strange. I'm not sure what could be causing that. Definitely test the above, but if you can't get things going, just let me know. We'll gladly help investigate further however we can.

Thanks,
Alex

I just got into your site to look around. First, I disabled the User - Profile plugin. There were a lot of fields on the registration form, and my guess is you don't need them since you have both Community Builder and Kunena installed on your site. Feel free to re-enable it if you want those extra fields.

With that said, I registered on the site using LinkedIn. My Joomla account was created and a mapping was added to the JFBConnect -> Usermap table. The top menu shows Members | Community | Forum | Logout | Directory | Subscribe, which are correct from what I can tell. My user account is only in the "Registered" group.

That all looks correct to me. I can't recreate what you're saying, and the account is definitely created in Joomla. If there's more information you can provide on how to create the issue.. or, if you want, PM me your LinkedIn login credentials so I can try logging in that way.

I hope that helps, and hopefully you can make some progress on this.

Thanks,
Alex
