Hi,
I want to migrate existing Facebook comment on my site to JFBConnect facebook comment module. Can you please advice me on how I can achieve that?
Also how can I remove the "Powered By JFBConnect" link under the facebook comment module?

Regards,
Franck

In the Advanced area of the module is an option to disable the Powered By link.

As for the comments themselves, each comment is tied to a specific URL on your site. If you're comments aren't appearing, it means that the 'old' URL that comments were being made on are different than the URL you have configured (or JFBConnect is automatically generating). You'll need to either:
* Set the URL parameter in the Comment module to whatever the 'old' URL was that comments were made on
* Change your URL structure so the page the comment box is showing on is the same as the old URL

I hope that helps explain, but if not, let me know.

Thanks,
Alex

Its works fine, Thank you. It was a problem with the URL as you said.

On a different note, I have an issue with SCLogin: Login with Facebook doesn't work on all pages. It works fine with some pages but with some i have to click twice or with some i have the following error message
"Given URL is not allowed by the Application configuration.: One or more of the given URLs is not allowed by the App's settings. It must match the Website URL or Canvas URL, or the domain must be a subdomain of one of the App's domains."
I also need to click the 'Connect with google' twice sometimes before it work
I am not sure what going on.

Thank you for your help

Franck

For Facebook, it's likely not working on those other pages because there's another Facebook extension enabled on those pages. If another extension is including the Facebook Javascript library on those pages and initializing it with a different Facebook App Id (or no ID at all), the errors you see would be the symptom.

You'll need to remove other Facebook extensions from those pages, or have them not initialize the FB Javascript library. If you need help narrowing this down, let me know a URL of a working and not working page.

For the Google double-clicking, not sure what would be happening here. Is this consistently on certain pages or is there some other method we could test with? I'd also try in another browser to see if the same issue happens there as well.

Thanks,
Alex

You're right, I've cleared all previous Facebook modules and scripts and it's working fine.
As for the Google issue, After clearing my site and browser cache, it's working fine as well. So, it was probably due to caching.

Thanks for your help

Awesome! Glad to hear things are working better now. Of course, should you run into any other issues or have any questions, just let me know!

Finally, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for JFBConnect, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It certainly isn't required, but is very appreciated:

Thanks,
Alex
