Topic-icon How easy to switch from JomSocial to EasySocial keeping JFBconnect?

Hi there. I have Jomsocial and JFBconnect working well but I'd like to switch to Easysocial. What's involved in making that transition? The guys at Stackideas say they need a code snippet from JFBconnect. Is that so? If so what's the code.

In Jomsocial there seems to be easy configuration settings, or rather in JFBconnect there are configurations settings for Jomsocial that no longer require snippets.

Anyway appreciate your advice and any directions to documentation.

JomSocial has built-in integration with JFBConnect. That makes it very easy to add the additional social network login buttons of JFBConnect in various areas of JomSocial. With the upcoming JomSocial 3.2 release, that integration will be even deeper, which we're very excited about.

EasySocial doesn't have any built-in integration for JFBConnect, so you'd need to add our social login buttons to it, just like used to be the case with JomSocial. To see more information about how to add our login buttons to their login views, see our EasySocial JFBConnect integration guide.

I hope that helps. Of course, when you talk to the StackIdeas folks next, let them know that you'd love to see similar integration built-in to EasySocial for JFBConnect :)

Thanks,
Alex

Peter,
We've been in touch with the StackIdeas developers and it sounds like there will likely be some good integration to show our social login buttons in an upcoming release from them. We really appreciate you bringing the issue to them. It will help both of our users going forward, and should make things much simpler.

Thanks,
Alex
