Topic-icon Conflict with Uninstalling JomSocial

I'm having a pretty big problem with logging back into my site following uninstalling JomSocial (JomSocial is a scam - support is horrible - software is buggy and there is a basic lack of understanding of customer's legitimate requests). Now that I've uninstalled, when I log back in via the SCLogin, I receive a white screen. Please advise.

Never mind...found the error...not surprisingly the uninstall instructions on the JomSocial site don't work, which forces you to go back and ask for support. This is very reminiscent of AOL.

It sounds like you still have the User - JomSocial plugin enabled. You'd want to disable that. I'd recommend going to the Plugin Manager in Joomla and searching for "jom" or "community" and disable any plugins that are specific to JomSocial. That should help clear up other issues you may run into if plugins for JomSocial are enabled while the component itself is uninstalled.
