Pete,
In the Joomla Global Configuration area, please set the Error Reporting setting to "Maximum". Then, the white pages should show a real error message.

Let us know that error message and we should be able to help investigate further.

Finally, please try:
* Turning on the "Include jQuery/Bootstrap" setting in JFBConnect. That loads a special version of those libraries which may fix some issues
* Turn on the "Enable Debugging" mode in JFBConnect. That may present error messages that will help as well.

Thanks,
Alex

The messages you show aren't an issue. They are all PHP warnings or notices, which aren't 'real' issues.. just something for developers to improve on a little.

When you see those messages, is the page completely blank/white with just those messages or are you seeing your template and other graphics? If they were completely blank, they should have ended with a PHP Fatal error instead of just notices and warnings like you posted.

I just tried to login using Facebook. At first, I was given the credentials popup, as expected. Then, it showed:

Error
Sorry, this feature isn't available right now: An error occurred while processing this request. Please try again later.

I've never seen that before, and I'm not sure what's causing that. Have you seen that message, or are you getting past that point?

Thanks,
Alex

Hi.
Yes the messages only no template or graphics, just a while pagr.

I have had that message and those mentioned previously. Once I get that its game over blank both in public areas and login areas. Refresh browder may fix it otherwise I use McAfee AV to shred temp Internet files anf the vlesnup function itd real clesn try again all fine until an attempted login.

I'm not sure what's happening on your site. I did just login and saw the blank white page. There must be a PHP error somewhere, but I don't see it right now (I'm assuming you've disabled Error Reporting).

Can you send me a Private Message with your admin credentials so we can investigate further? That will help us narrow things down and get you a response faster. You can PM me by clicking the mail icon under my picture to the left.

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for the Private Messages. For your first question about Facebook App ID and Secret Keys in JomSocial, the answer is that you should have only one App ID / Secret key. You should only use that in JFBConnect. You should remove the value from JomSocial. For more information on how to best integrate JFBConnect with JomSocial, see:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/thir...ration-for-jomsocial

You also mentioned that you made my Facebook user a Super Admin. However, we can't use Facebook to login to the admin area. I also can't login to the front-end since Facebook isn't working, so I can't reset my Joomla password and use that.

Can you please PM me admin credentials I can use to get into the admin area?

Thanks,
Alex

I'm unsure what's happening on your site. There's a few things that seem wrong:
1) Even when error reporting is enabled, no errors are displaying. This means that some other extension is forcibly turning errors off, which makes it very difficult to diagnose. I'm not sure what extension is doing that, but I'd recommend trying to disable multiple system plugins at a time and try logging in with Facebook. Eventually, there should hopefully be an error message displayed, which will help us locate the issue.
2) When I go to the JFBConnect -> Profiles configuration area, I'm getting an "XML File did not load" message. That indicates that JFBConnect may not be installed properly. I'd recommend re-installing JFBConnect v5.2.2 to make sure all the proper updates have been applied.
* This may fix the issue immediately, but I can't be sure without seeing what the actual error message is, above.
** JFBConnect v6.0 is coming out tomorrow, which integrates JLinked and JFBConnect together. You may want to wait for this release, but it's up to you.
3) If none of the above helps, there are multiple social network integration plugins enabled (ZJ Facebook Connect, Techjoomla-Facebook API, and likely some others. You may want to try (temporarily) disabling them, after you've re-installed JFBConnect, to see if that helps the issue.

I hope that helps,
Alex

That widget is only displayed to Super Admins right, by default. If it's showing to other users, you can change the permission for it by clicking the "Permissions" button in the JFBConnect admin area. The permission is "Post to Social Channels".

Right now, there's not another way to disable it, other than clicking the 'X' when it's on a page.

If those options don't work, let me know, we can provide some code that will forcibly disable it, but you'll lose the ability to post content to social channels and see the configured Open Graph tags on a page.

Thanks,
Alex
