Hi,

I just installed the extension only few days ago and I'm pretty impressed how it works. It's all I needed for my small business site. The only problem I'm having is the sharing links for twitter, facebook, linkedin, google+ and so on.

On some sites I don't get to see G+ at all and on some I get this line - {SCGooglePlusOne href=http://magictouchit.com.au/index.php/component/k2/item/30-microsoft-sells-anti-google-mugs-and-t-shirts annotation=none size=standard}

On other site I'm missing twitter and G+ and instead I see this but nothing for G+ - {SCTwitterShare href=http://magictouchit.com.au/index.php/wide-range-of-computer-services-and-remote-support-in-sydney data_count=none}

What's going on, can you please help.

Thank you

You likely have the System - Cache plugin enabled and it's ordering is before (lower number than) the JFBCSystem plugin. The System - Cache plugin should always be the highest ordered/last plugin.

If that's not the case, please try disabling caching altogether in the Global Configuration area of Joomla and try again.

Let us know if that helps, or not, and we can help get things going even better from there.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

I've checked all your suggestions, but cache plugin is disabled as well as global caching in global config menu.

So what would be the next step ?

Thank you

Are you using iJoomla SEO (I can't remember the specific name). There's a known issue with that extensions which their developers have had to fix on a couple of user's sites. If that's not the case, we'd have to ask for a link to a page that is broken so we can look into it further. We may also need admin credentials to investigate further, but I'm not going to ask for those yet.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi,

the only SEO I'm using is SEO Boss. you can have a look at those links at magictouchit.com.au every page though has different problem with those sharing links. some pages are showing all of them, some only few, some come with errors and so on.

thanks

Whew.. I just clicked through a lot of links, and think I found the issue. Most pages worked fine for me, but then I finally found one where the Google tag wasn't rendering. When looking at the output HTML, the tag looks like:
{SC<strong class="keyword">Google</strong>PlusOne href=http://magictouchit.com.au/index.php/digital-news/item/7-<strong class="keyword">google</strong>-<strong class="keyword">maps</strong>-inside-an-<strong class="keyword">hms</strong>-<strong class="keyword">submarine</strong> annotation=none size=standard}
You obviously have some extension that's altering your page text to make it keyword-rich. You'll need to:
a) Try re-ordering plugins so our JFBCContent and JFBCSystem plugins are ordered before and/or after the plugin that's doing those replacements. I'm not sure which way will work, so you'll need to try the 4 different combinations.
b) Disable the plugin that's replacing that text.

I hope that helps narrow things down for you.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex,

Your plugin was in 0 position along with many others including SEO Boss. So I've moved the SEO Boss to position 1 and everything seems to be working perfect.
Thank you for that - nice work, but question is (even though you have nothing to do with it), would you know if the position of SEO Boss plugin affect my key-wording and all that comes with it ?

Thank you very much

My guess is that no, it shouldn't. I'd honestly think that plugin should be ordered last (highest) since you would want all other plugins to trigger first to 'do their thing' before the SEO Boss plugin does it's replacements.

In this case above, and like many plugins, our JFBC functionality was to search for the {JFBCxyz} tags that may be on the page and then replace them with some raw HTML. You would want all of those replacements (by any other plugins as well) to be finalized before the SEO Boss plugin triggered so that you it wouldn't be changing any intermediary 'tags', like it was doing.

As long as the SEO Boss plugin runs, that's the important thing. The order it runs shouldn't affect whether it does it's job or not. Of course, we didn't develop that plugin, so if you're unsure or worried, I'd contact their developers.

I hope that helps explain, but should you need anything else, just let us know.

Thanks,
Alex

Oh yeah, if you haven't already, please consider leaving a rating and review for JFBConnect, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory. It certainly isn't required, but is very appreciated:

:D

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for the explanation.
I have checked the website now and G+ is playing up, it's actually not showing at the first time when page loads, I have to refresh it to see the G+.
Also I have checked on other pages and it's not showing there either and on some of them the Pinterest is missing. Something magic is happening.
I have to note that Safari on mac is not showing Pinterest and G+. In Chrome I have Pinterest but no G+.

Thank you again
