Can you explain more about what you're looking for, or what post you're referring too? There already are options for setting the redirection for new users or returning users when they login with a social network. One of the options is also to leave the user on the same page instead of redirecting.
We've had many requests in the past for updates to redirections, but honestly don't have any features requests left in our tracker that I'm aware of.
