Topic-icon I am getting a error code 303 and not allowing facebook login

Just wanted to let you know we're investigating what's happening. The issue is due to the Language Filter plugin which is redirecting the user when they are returned from Facebook. That redirect is stripping off some of the information that Facebook sends back in the query string and is what's causing communication with Facebook to break down.

I don't understand why that's an issue on your site. We test with the Language filter plugin and know many other sites use it as well. We'll have to do more testing and let you know what we find. For now though, if you don't require the language switching ability, I'd have to recommend disabling that plugin.

We'll let you know what we find though.

Thanks,
Alex

Alex,

Disabling the language plugin seemed to solve the issue with firefox, and chrome, but internet explorer still having the same issue.
Can you please take a look and let me know what's going on.

Thanks,
Dana

Dana,
Sorry for the delay. I just tested with IE11 on Windows 7. When clicking the Login button, I got the Facebook credentials popup properly and was redirected when submitting them.

Everything seemed correct to me. Can you explain a bit more about what you're seeing now? Also, let me know what version of IE and Windows you are testing with, in case that may be part of the issue.

Thanks,
Alex

Alex,

When I click to login with facebook, or try to do any activity using facebook, like, share, comment, etc it starts to open facebook on new window then starts to go crazy (facebook window looks like it starts and stops to load about 3 x a sec). This is only happening on my windows internet explorer 11, windows 7 machine. IE version 11.0.9600.16518, updates version 11.0.3.

Thanks,
Dana

Dana,
Very sorry for the delayed response. I wanted to get back to you on this. We are testing on Windows 7 with the exact same version of IE11 as you mention above. We can't recreate the issue on your site, or any others. When we try to login, we are immediately logged in, as expected.

Are you still having this issue? If so, can you:
* Try from a different computer
* Disable any anti-virus or security software you have enabled
* Go to Start -> Accessories -> System Tools -> Internet Explorer (No Add-ons) and try again? That loads a version of IE with no extra extensions installed, which may be conflicting.

Let me know if any of that helps, and we'll gladly investigate further if you continue to have issues.

Thanks,
Alex
