Hi,

I have noticed the jfbfan like box display differently on a mobile phone and computer browser. I have attached 2 screenshot for comparing.
Other alternative fan like box also have such issue but they do have multiple rendering choice to overcome it, like iframe, xfbml and html5.

Maybe this can be incorporated into jfbfan module too?

Sorry for missing this post earlier. We did some quick testing on a development site and couldn't directly recreate what you show above.

Do you have a different template (or stylesheet) that displays when a user visits your site through a mobile device? My primary guess as to what's happening is that there's a special style being set in your mobile view that's bleeding into our JFBCFan module and causing it to display differently.

If that doesn't help, or you're unsure, can you post (or private message) the URL of a page with the issue and we'll gladly investigate further.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello Alex,

I have a responsive template but it has been disabled and using normal desktop mode. Is there a good way to fake my deskop browser into a mobile browser to check this ?
This is on local testing at the moment.

There are multiple ways to test. The easiest, if you're using Google Chrome, is to go into the Developer Tools -> Settings -> Overrides area and change the "User Agent" to iPhone -- iOS6" (or some other mobile phone User Agent).

There are online tools and ways with other browsers to change your user agent as well.

I hope that helps, but if not, let us know the page you're testing on with the JFBCFan module and we'll gladly test in both cases as well.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello Alex,

Its on local testing so I guess I have to try out myself.
I am more familiar with firebug but will give this method a try.

I'd recommend looking at the solutions below for Firefox:
* User Agent Overrider - a popular extension to switch agents
* Manual instructions on how to update the User Agent through the GUI. A few more steps, but one less extension to have installed in FF.

I hope that helps!
Alex
