Hi, I am a new subscriber. I installed sclogin and configured the component with fb and twitter details. The autotune showed no error. The sclogin button is shown on the home page. However, when I clicked on that button, nothing happened. I am able to log into my site using the normal Joomla login menu option but not via the sclogin button. Did I miss something? Thanks.
In the JFBConnect -> Configuration area, please enable the "Include jQuery" setting. Your site is missing the Bootstrap Javascript library, and that setting will include a copy of it.
I have the same problem and it does not login with Facebook. It worked the first time, then I installed JLinked and now it does not work for facebook. (BTW I do have it set to "Load JQuery").
Please re-install JFBConnect again. JLinked is a little bit older than JFBConnect right now, and so it's actually downgrading a few parts of our code that are shared between JFBConnect and JLinked.
If you re-install JFBConnect, it will re-upgrade everything in a way that's compatible for both JFBConnect and JLinked.
I hope that helps get you going, and sorry for the confusion.
Hi Thanks for the quick reply. I uninstalled and then re-installed JFBconnect jfbconnect_j2.5_v5.2.1 and it still nothing happens when I click the Login to FB icon. (Although it did remove the admin update issue).
I just tested and it worked for me by properly logging me to the Login/Register page of JFBConnect. That's the expected behavior. I was testing with Chrome on a mac.
Can you let me know exactly what happens for you, and possibly try from a different browser and/or user? If there are any error messages or other information you can provide, that'd help.
I just tried with Firefox on Windows and was brought to the XIPT profile page and then to JomSocial registration page. I'm assuming you setup the registration flow to JomSocial? If so, that seems to work (though I didn't complete it all).
If you're still having issues, please try from a different computer or with all add-ons/extensions for Firefox and Chrome disabled. There are many extensions that intentionally disable Facebook activity through the browser, and that's my best guess as to what's going wrong.
