Alex,
I have installed 5.1.2 and when I login again using Facebook, it automatically sends me back to the Home Page, regardless of which page I am in.

In the configuration panel, I have the Login/Logout set for Returning User to Same Page but it doesnt seem to work.

My site www.fgatest.com , so that you can run a test if you need to?

Thanks

Rich

Rich,
Not sure. There were no changes in the 5.1.2 release that should have affected the login (or redirection) process, so I'm not sure what's going on.

Can you check that you don't have any Authentication, System or User plugins that may be trying to redirect the user as well? If so, that could be interfering with our login process as there shouldn't be anything else doing the login for the user.

Let me know if you can find any plugins that seem to fit the bill above. If not, private message us some credentials, and we'll gladly investigate.

Thanks,
Alex

Rich,
I just got into the admin area to investigate and test. I couldn't find any great answers, but I also wasn't able to access the JFBConnect administration area. Can you click the Permissions box in the top right in JFBConnect and make sure my user group is able to edit the settings? That will help look into things further.

Thanks,
Alex

Rich,
I'm not sure what happened, but it's working now. Here's all I did:
* In JFBConnect -> Configuration, I changed the Login Redirect to a fixed page. I tested and the login worked and redirected to the page I wanted it to go to.
* Then, I changed the redirection back to "Same Page". I'm properly left on the same page when logging in.

It seems like a configuration setting got 'stuck' somehow, but I'm a bit clueless as to how. Please test and let me know if it's working for you. Hopefully that loosened the gum in the works though.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex
Yes it is working just fine now. It does seem a little strange why it did what it did, but It seems we have a way forwardif it doesn't work when I go to live.

I will be going to my live site on the 13th October as this week is the busiest for my users.

Thanks for your help

Alex, I cant believe it - I ran the Autotune again, because the AutoTune Recommended has an exclamation mark on it (for some reason I can't fathom) and now the page does not stay on the same page when I log out - logging in seems fine

Can you please have another look please?

Cheers

Rich

Rich,
I just tested logging out and I was left on the same page. However, I noticed that you're not even using the SCLogin module for the logout button. If that's not working for you, it may not be an issues with our module but with the Kunena login module you're using. When you try to logout, where are you redirected?

Finally, for Autotune, I don't know what the change was, but we're constantly updating Autotune to improve our detection and recommendations. I don't know what may have changed in our recommendations for your site offhand though.

I hope that helps, but keep me posted on what you find.

Thanks,
Alex

Alex, My apologies for the delay in responding - I refreshed my test website from the live site, so I could ensure there was nothing "in the way".

I have now changed the settings to use the sclogin module, setting it to use Kunena as you will see from my other questions and it works much better now and stays on the page.

Thanks for your help.
