Hi ... Im'm trying to get to work the facebook post for the jomsocial uploading photo.

I've successfully set the read an article. It work good.
So ...
As described .... I've made also an action "upload" and an object "photo" - I've set my FB application with the mentioned data. (as in the image)

1) When I'm in the frontpage, if I try to upload a photo to the jsocial timeline nothing happens
- in this case the og:type is "website"
- I receive this error: (#3502) Object at URL www.fotozoom.it/fotocommunity/foto-commu...lbum.html?albumid=20 has og:type of 'article'. The property 'photo' requires an object of og:type 'fotozoom_news:photo'.
- the page is www.fotozoom.it/

2) when I'm in the page "foto" (link in the JSmenu, if I try to upload a photo to the album nothing happens
- in this case the og:type is "article"
- I receive this errror: (#3502) Object at URL www.fotozoom.it/fotocommunity/foto-commu...lbum.html?albumid=20 has og:type of 'article'. The property 'photo' requires an object of og:type 'fotozoom_news:photo'.
- the page is www.fotozoom.it/fotocommunity/foto-community/42-fotozoom.html

3) when I'm in the page "album" if I try to upload a photo to the album nothing happens
- in this case there is the right og:type .... "fotozoom_news:photo"
- I receive this error "(#3502) Object at URL www.fotozoom.it/fotocommunity/foto-commu...lbum.html?albumid=22 has og:type of 'article'. The property 'photo' requires an object of og:type 'fotozoom_news:photo'."
- the page is www.fotozoom.it/fotocommunity/foto-commu...lbum.html?albumid=22

I've made a lot of attempts ... I've received ever this error
"(#3502) Object at URL www.fotozoom.it/fotocommunity/foto-commu...lbum.html?albumid=20 has og:type of 'article'. The property 'photo' requires an object of og:type 'fotozoom_news:photo'."

Alberto,
First off, I'm very sorry for the delayed response to this post.

I'm glad to hear you got the read action all setup. We're working on more documentation and videos for other types of actions as well and will have them up over the course of the summer, as well as more tools for implementing Open Graph Actions.

From your pictures, everything does look to be setup properly. The problem looks to be that Facebook simply can't see your album pages as they restricted to registered users only. Facebook has a 'crawler' that will look at all of your pages, and on your site, those pages are redirecting to the login page:
www.fotozoom.it/component/users/?view=login
That page does have an og:type set as 'article', which is why you're seeing the error message you see.

Unfortunately, the only suggestion I'd have right now is to make your albums public. That will allow Facebook to properly 'see' the Open Graph tags set for those pages.

We are investigating a solution for later this year which will present the Open Graph tags to Facebook when they try to see a registered page, but I don't have a firm timeline on when that will be available as it's a big undertaking with a lot of technical hurdles in the way.

I hope that helps explain the problem, even if it's not what you're looking to hear. It should be easy to test your configuration, at least, by making the album's public and re-trying the action/upload. If that works, it will confirm that it's a privacy issue.

Thanks,
Alex

Facebook caches data about the pages it sees. After you make things public, you'll need to wait a little bit for their cache to clear and 'see' the changes.

You can use the Facebook URL Debug Tool to scan your album, or other pages, and see what Facebook sees. That also updates Facebook's cache, which may help fix things as well.

If that doesn't work, sure, message me any information about the site you can and we can investigate further. You can PM me by clicking the mail icon under my picture to the left.

Thanks,
Alex

Those are set directly by JFBConnect. There is no communication with Facebook to get those values. It's all set using information from the current page or from settings you've configured in JFBConnect.

I'm not sure where website would be coming from. That should only be used on your home page. As for the uploader page in general, that isn't what is being shared. It's the destination album. What is the Open Graph tag on the actual album page?

Now Upload action is ok!!

But there is STILL a problem!!!

I I've done the upload from this page (the album page) www.fotozoom.it/fotocommunity/foto-commu...lbum.html?albumid=20
In the head of this there are the meta og with the right type: <meta property="og:type" content="fotozoom_news:photo">

But only there ....

In the other jomsocial page where I can found the possibilty to upload a photo the ogtype is like commented in my previous post.

I have the community diary in the home page
www.fotozoom.it/
and the og is this: <meta property="og:type" content="website">

The communty diary is reacheable using the jomsocial menu at this location
www.fotozoom.it/fotocommunity.html
and the og is this: <meta property="og:type" content="article">

inside jomsocial .. in the page for the album generation or upload photo
www.fotozoom.it/fotocommunity/fo … album.html
the og is this: <meta property="og:type" content="article">

and ALSO ..... I've inserted in config the permissions "publish_stream,email,user_events,publish_actions,user_photos" and activated the wall plugin ... but NOTING appear on the FB wall of the user!!!!

PS .. I've sent to you a PM with the data to login as admin
