It sounds like you have "Captcha" enabled across your site. That could be the built-in Joomla captcha (configurable in the Joomla Global Configuration area) or a 3rd party extension. I'd recommend disabling that and testing again to see if you can get things going. We should be able to help you re-enable captcha if you'd like to continue using it, but for now, it's best to test and get things going without it.The words you typed did not match the ones displayed. Please try again. Question, is it supposed to log me into my facebook? It does after about 20seconds.
That's normal. Per Facebook's guidelines, on pages where automatic actions (like 'reading an article') have been posted to the user's Timeline, the user *must* be made aware on that page if they return to it. So, JFBConnect is simply following Facebook's terms and notifying the user that that page was added to their Timeline in the past. And each time I read a 'item' the notification pops up letting me know it has been added to my timeline. But it does this every time I read the same 'item'. Even though I have it set to once only, and when I do check my timeline it is not there.
{JFBCSubscribe href=https://www.facebook.com/zuck}I did this when I first installed it. Same for open graph-K2.alzander wrote: * Simply enable the Open Graph - Content plugin that came with the JFBConnect zip file you downloaded. I have tried both normal and automatic. Oddly, I could never get joomla's captcha to work with VM2's registration among other VM2 things but that is a different story. I also wanted comments, that worked with captcha, and this led me to K2. Now that I am using your cool extension, I really don't been comments, I still would like to have captcha on K2's registration. But I had to disable it on K2 to get yours to work. What registration mode are you using in JFBConnect, normal or automatic? Joomla also has it's own built-in Captcha system. Is there a reason you don't want to use that? Just curious.
This happened no matter if captcha was empty or filled correctlyOdd thing is, it worked last week and the only thing I have done is instal JFBConnect. I was actually testing this out and decided to make a test account when I ran into this issue. Problem was, I could not get 'facebook login' to work, but I did figure out that if I disabled K2 captcha it worked fine. Problem with that is, I would end up with this message:
Empty solution not allowed.
So I followed the steps in the other post. and this is what I end up with:
The words you typed did not match the ones displayed. Please try again.
I'm not sure how JFBConnect could be doing that. We don't modify menu items during installation or at any other time during configuration.Since I have dl your extension I have noticed that one of my menu items set for 'vendor' is available to all registered users, which wasn't before as it should be.
If you disable the JFBCSystem plugin, that effectively disables all JFBConnect functionality. Can you do that and see if registration is still required. Again, there isn't any reason that JFBConnect should be requiring registration, or affecting VM shopping at all, really. In VM2 I have it set so you do not need to register to purchase a item, yet now you have to.
I'd continue to recommend leaving this disabled while you have issues. We do have it on our to-do list to investigate, and hopefully should have some more knowledge on what's happening later this week.K2 Captcha
