Hi,
Probably missing the obvious here but while using the FB login button with SCLogin correctly triggers the FB workflow and adds the app to the FB users app with permissions and all that, in Joomla/Jomsocial however, nothing happens: no user created and no redirection (and no login, of course). I have used autotune and everything is ok. Also, all apps components and plugins are in their latest version and I have tried with and without SEF url friendly ± rewrite.
Thanks.

If no redirection is happening, that is usually an indication that there is a Javascript error on the page that's preventing our redirect to the registration flow or (less likely) an issue with your FB App configuration.

Is there a site you can post (or Private Message) to us that we can test with to see what's happening?

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for the credentials. Unfortunately, I can't test with them. Your site is in Offline mode, and the credentials you sent don't have the permissions to disable that. So, I can't disable Offline mode to be able to try to login with Facebook on the front-end.

Can you either disable Offline mode, or increase my user level?

Thanks,
Alex

Thanks for the SA permissions. I just took the site offline to test. I clicked the padlock icon in the top right of your home page, the SCLogin module slid out, and I hit the "Login with Facebook" button. I accepted your application and then granted the permission to post to my wall. After that, I was brought to the following registration page:
File Attachment:

That all seems right to me. I didn't actually follow through with the registration because it sounds like you haven't made it that far.

Can you make sure you're testing in Offline Mode? If it still fails, let us know what browser and OS you are using. I tested with Chrome on a Mac.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex and thanks for the feedback; I am using Chrome on Windows 7 and new tries with different FB accounts still stop short of registering the users on Joomla.
However, having in the meantime tried with Firefox and IE9 it all works fine; odd, is it not?

Ok, now I have checked with Chrome on another Windows 7 PC from another location and it also works fine.
Obviously this issue is not linked with JFBConnect, Many thanks for your time.
I will further troubelshoot my issue and, should I come with something that could help, I will post it here.
Cheers,

Definitely tell us what you'd find. I'd recommend looking in the Tools -> Extensions area of Chrome and make sure you don't have any privacy or social networking blocking extensions enabled. There are many add-ons for Chrome that are meant to stop social networking sites from tracking you on other websites, but can cause issues when you actually want to use those social networking sites for logging in.

Hope that helps, and keep us posted on your results.

Thanks,
Alex

Well, thinking of that, I had indeed blocked cookies and content from third parties in Chrome (Parameters--> advanced parameters/confidentiality/content parameters).
Some sites are hence giving me an alert that, should I want to fully experience their content, I should allow their cookies on my browser.
Now I must add that I still have not succeeded to make JFBC work on my main PC with Chrome, even with cookies enabled and cache emptied; so I'll keep searching...
Thanks.
