I am working on a site where users can post 'bills' for others to vote on. When the user votes, I have the OG setup to fire a custom action based on a posted parameter.

This was working great yesterday, but now I can not get the custom action to fire. Here is my setup...

1) OG Object for K2 articles that sets my OG:TYPE to Bill
2) OG Object for votes - one for a yes vote and one for a no vote. This is looking for a passed parameter.
3) OG Action that fires on page load for both objects listed above.

I have done a little troubleshooting myself - don't know if this is helpful;
* There is no activity in the JFBC OG activity log after yesterday.
* The FB tools all show that the app and pages are setup properly.

This is a fantastic set of tools and has me far further in just a few hours than I have been able to get in days of working on this pet project.

Any help you could provide would be much appreciated.

Scott,
First off, awesome! I always love to hear of interesting ways that our Open Graph Action integration is being used. We still don't have nearly enough documentation on how to do some of the custom stuff, so I'm glad you're making headway.

As to your issue, check the following:
* Your action settings are set to allow the action to happen 'frequently'. If you have it set to only one action trigger every 5 years (for instance), it won't trigger obviously very often.
* If the action is set to be able to be disabled, make sure your user hasn't disabled it.
* Test from a different Facebook account or a test account you can create in the app developer area.
* Try turning of any SEF extensions or Joomla SEF settings you have enabled and try again.

If none of that helps, let me know:
* When you say 'this worked', how did it work? With a test user? Did the action show up properly in your OG Activity Log in JFBConnect? Did it show up in your FB Activity Log as expected?
* Did you change anything else since it worked that may help us narrow things down?

Would love to help you get this going and see the results of what you get setup. We're looking to promote OG Actions even more and would love a couple of great demo sites to show off what can be done, if you're interested when you get everything going.

Wow Alex - Thanks for the quick response!! Still no luck though so let me get you back the answers to your questions.

Here are the outcomes of what you asked me to try:

1) Frequency - set at every 30 seconds.
2) Not sure where I would check this.
3) Have tested with 3 users - 1 is mine, 2 are FB. None have activated any actions (in the log at least).
4) No change w SEF on or off.

Answers to other questions:
In reference to the action working - I was using my FB account. I saw the activity on the FB App History and in the JFBC OG Activity log.

I upgraded K2 and JFBC, but had the activity working after the upgrades. The latest thing I upgraded was Social Backlinks. I have uninstalled it, but still no luck.

Open to testing any other things on my end!

Got it going again - moved my action and objects to the K2 OG plugin and added a manual activation of the action.

So sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I had looked over this thread yesterday but didn't have any great advice to give at that time. Was planning to do some testing and investigation tomorrow to let you know a good solution. I'm glad to hear you found out the solution on your own. Hopefully, you didn't pull your hair out too much!
