Hi,

I am using the FB Comments box, all the like buttons and the user connect (login SC). However since I started off with the Comments Box I created an App called 'DV Comments' which then suited the bill. However now since I am also using SCLogin and that seems to want to use the same App ie. DV comments, so either I would have to compose a different name for my App on Facebook or create another one. I think I could manage changing the name of the app on Facebook but would my changes reflect in my FCB component? If I would create a new App I wouldnt have a clue where to connect that to the FCB component as I already have the one registered.

On a second note, I'm not sure where users are directed to on Facebook once they click my App icon, I have a box (link) on my Facebook Page but it just says 'DV Comments' if you click it, it actually goes nowhere, it also looks quite boring. You can see at www.facebook.com/Dolcevia

Would someone be able to answer my questions?
Thanks,
Liz

Liz,
If you already have a Facebook App created, I'd recommend using that app with JFBConnect. You shouldn't need to create a new application to use with JFBConnect, just add the existing Facebook App ID and Secret key into JFBConnect and have our Autotune software update your application with the right settings to make the app work with Facebook Login and the other features we enabled.

In general, you should only have one application per website. If you need to create a new app, you can switch the names and do other stuff like that, but it just shouldn't be necessary.

For the redirection from your Facebook Page, that's probably because you don't have an SSL certficate on your site. See our SSL Certificates for Facebook guide on how to get one. Once you have one, you can use the Page Tab integration features of JFBConnect to show your website inside of your Facebook Page.

Hope that helps explain, but if not, let us know,
Alex

Thanks ! I thought it might have been this type of problem. I will go after my security certificate.

I just checked again, and it's definitely your SSL certificate. In Facebook, if you go to Account Settings -> Security and then disable the "Secure Browsing" setting, you can then go to your Facebook Page in non-https mode:
www.facebook.com/Dolcevia/app_165872063504402

If you click the App icon there, you'll see your page load. So, it works over http, but not https. If the Page Tab integration is important to you, then you'll need an SSL certificate.

Best of luck, and let us know if there's anything else you need,
Alex
