Dear Sir

How to Integrate JFB Connect Social Share Buttons on Easy Blog Posts? I want to display a FB Like Button on all the post so that when user can like a post there account can be credited with some Aplha USer Points. If i enable the built in social integration which comes along with the easyblog; alpha user points are not getting credited.

I have installed a plugin called multi ads to display like button on all the post using this tag {JFBCLike key=123}. Like Button is Showing but if click that nothing is happening. I mean like is not getting counted also it is not showing up in my activity log. can you please help.

Sandeep,
The EasyBlog Like button uses a different method for inserting the Joomla Facebook Like button that JFBConnect users. Ours is more flexible and allows for 'triggering' other events like emails and AUP integration. So, yes, you'll need to use ours.

I don't know the multi-ad extension, but if it's inserting our Like button with the {JFBCLike} tag, that should work. If the button isn't letting you click it, then something is definitely going wrong, and we'll gladly help. Can you post (or Private Message) us a link to the page you're testing on so we can look into it further?

Thanks,
Alex

Multi ads is a plugin with which we can use any html or javascript code at the top or bottom of the articles.

Here is the location of the url where i have installed easy blog and added a like button on all the post with code {JFBCLike layout=box_count key=123}

It's fixed. When you first add a Like button to some pages, that can happen. It's because Facebook hasn't fully scanned the page yet and built up enough 'trust' for the page. You can use their Debug Tool to force them to scan the page and make it work immediately:
developers.facebook.com/tools/debug

As they see more of your pages, the less often that will be necessary.

Hope that helps,
Alex

Thank you so much alex. its working great now. Sorry for disturbing you again. I have few more doubts.

First : i would like to know is it ethical to reward users to like pages on my site. if facebook get to know that; do they take any action against my site?

Second :
i have created open graph action for read article. It's working great. But i just read this article on FB developers.facebook.com/docs/technical-g...ilt-in-actions/#read that the user must have the ability to on /off the action or delete the action posted.

When the activity posted i saw a blue bar below which has link telling undo/disable future sharing / see all activity. But if i click that link, i am landing to a page www.jobs4mind.com/jfbconnect shown in image 2 asking me login again.
How could i make the user to delete the action posted. In Slideshare.net they have also made similar function for read action. User can delete the activity posted just by clicking the button.

Glad to hear you're getting things going, and no worries about bugging us. That's what we're here for. Thanks for your subscription!

For the Like button, it's against Facebook's terms to require users to Like a page or content on your site in order to see or obtain some of your content. However, we've implemented the integration for Alpha User Points, which can reward the user 'points' for clicking the Like button. It doesn't restrict the user by 'not' Like'ing the content, so we think it's ok, but I can't make any guarantees there. I'd recommend reading the Facebook Platform Policies if you are unsure of anything.

As for the second point.. I'm very happy to hear your read action is working great. The ability to turn on/off the action or delete the action is there. Your site should be directing to the correct page. If not, please let us know what SEF extension you're using. Some SEF extensions have difficulties with the URLs JFBConnect creates. In that case, you should set the SEF extension to 'skip' our URLs. That should make the links in the popup properly work, which should make sure you're in-line with Facebook's terms.

We take great care to make sure our Open Graph Actions adhere to all of Facebook's policies. Anytime you see a change or think we may be doing something wrong, we love to hear about it.

Best of luck,
Alex

Thanks Alex. You are right. I am using Artio Joomsef. SEF urls created for JFB connect extension which was causing this error. I Disabled it. Now it is fixed. This is really an amazing extension with great support. i do write a good review and also recommend to all my friends.

If i set Automatic actions to Manual. When the action is actually get posted to user timeline? I created a Rate action for article. First i set the automatic actions to "on page load" 15sec. I have not even rated the article but the activity posted on my timeline. that sandeep rated "this article on" on jobs4mind.com. Next i set that to "manual" and tested again. though i have rated an article nothing posted on my timeline.

One more thing. Is it possible to create an action for easy blog that if a user created a blog post. It should be posted on his timeline that he created a post on "my app".

Glad to hear our support is helping you out. We'd definitely love for you to post a review about your experience with the extension, or our support, on the Joomla Extension Directory.

As for On Page Load vs Manual, you should really only use "On Page Load" for actions like "read" which happen by a user just staying on the page. For "Rate", you should set it to Manual. That action will occur when the user takes the action, like clicking the Vote buttons on the article. If it's not appearing, make sure you're using the correct "Rate" (or Vote) action from one of the plugins either for Joomla Content, EasyBlog, or K2 and that you've correctly associated it to the page you're testing with.

Finally, for creating a new post in EasyBlog, we don't support that yet, but are planning to have an updated EasyBlog plugin out over the next month or so that will add more action types.

Hope that helps,
Alex

Thanks Alex My Read action has been approved by Facebook Team. But the Facebook Team has sent some policy issue. this what they said.

We've found some policy issues with your Facebook Platform app. To keep your app in good standing, please take care of these by Friday, December 21st, 5pm GMT. Please also respond to this note to let us know when you've updated your app.

Here's a list of the problems:

1. Your app contains Stream stories that pre-fill the user_message parameter. This parameter must be reserved solely for content manually generated by the user earlier in the workflow as Facebook encourages authentic communications. The section is the area immediately to the right of the user’s name. To address this issue, the content should be removed or placed in the body of the Stream story.

Please note that this policy also prohibits pre-filling the following: Stream stories (user_message parameter for Facebook.streamPublish and FB.Connect.streamPublish, and message parameter for stream.publish), Photos (caption), Videos (description), Notes (title and content), Links (comment), and Jabber/XMPP. (FPP IV.2)

2. If a user grants you a publishing permission (developers.facebook.com/docs/authentication/permissions/), you must still obtain consent from the user before taking any action on the user's behalf, such as publishing content or creating an event. (FPP IV.3)

I could not figure out what they are actually telling. Can you please help me to fix this.

Sandeep,
Facebook recently revised their App Policies and one of the changes affects our Post to Wall on register and/or Login settings. I'm assuming you're using that feature to post to a user's wall automatically when they enter your site. If so, I'd recommend disabling that. We're evaluating if there are changes we can make to adhere to their Policy updates or if we simply need to remove the feature altogether. With Open Graph Actions, the post-to-wall feature isn't recommended much anymore anyways. A pure promotional post is no where near as welcome (by the user) as updates of their activity on your site. It's also more beneficial for their friends.

Let us know if that helps explain,
Alex
