You should be able to put the code anywhere in the file. If it's not showing when we load it, that's an indication that there's some sort of server side caching going on that's keeping the original file around. That wouldn't likely be a Rockettheme issue, especially if you've disabled their caching. It may be an Apache configuration or something like that.

Unfortunately, I don't know anything about your setup, so I can't tell you how to fix this.. but if you edit a file and the change doesn't appear when you read that file through the browser, that's the first issue that needs to be fixed.

I'm not sure why Voxel works, but it's a completely different template, so it may not even need the z-index style applied to it. Each template, and their peculiarities, are different.

Hope that helps, and definitely let us know if you get to the bottom of why you can't see the change.

Thanks,
Alex

Scott,
I'm able to see the z-index value you set now. Not sure why I couldn't before. However, it looks like you've moved the Like button from the white 'content' area to the black footer area. The rt-block z-index I had you set is now also being set to other modules that are in that area. I mentioned that the style may be too generic, and it looks like it is if you want to use it there.

If I disable the rt-block z-index setting, the footer Like button seems to work fine for me. Can you try without that z-index when in the footer?

This is definitely not a script issue. It is a styling issue, but that doesn't mean it's RocketTheme's fault or problem, frankly. They design their templates to work for most cases, but when scripts have popups and underlays or other javascript driven stuff, odd things can happen. We'll help how we can, and if you can get your template provider to help, that's always great.. but not always something they know enough about how to fix.

Hope that explains, and we'll keep helping how we can.

Thanks,
Alex
