Thanks for letting us know the issue. I was actually testing with Chrome originally, so was confused.
As for the extensions that can disable things, there's always been those available. They aren't (to my knowledge) installed with the browser by default, so if you have it installed, we have to assume you know about it. Our config guide already is pretty lengthy, so adding all the possible caveats could get very crazy fast
