Hello
When I try to log on using facebook on www.123blinx.com the following things happen :
1 - I am successfully logged on
2 - I get two JFTP : : Bad Response warnings

In my settings I have activated replicating the user's data, including avatar to CB upon each login. I notice that the user's avatar is not being sync'd to my site, so I am assuming there is something wrong with the settings for writing the avatar and the thumbnail. I have checked the permissions on the folders, but they are both ok. Any ideas?

Thank you
Erwin

Erwin,
That's almost always caused by permissions errors as the FTP layer is only used to save files to your site and move those files around from the /tmp directory to the /images/comprofiler (I think that's it for CB) directory.

Check the tmp folder to make sure it's permissions are open to FTP. We do have a release coming out in a day or so that clears up some issues with specific avatars, but I don't think that's your problem.

Hope that helps get you started, but if not, let us know!

Thanks,
Alex

Hello Alex,

I have checked all of that, but can't seem to find any misconfigured access rights.
Do you need an ftp and/or admin access to have a closer look?

Much appreciated.

Best regards
Erwin

PS: also wondering why I even see the JFTP:: Write : Bad Response -- I have all error reporting disabled.

The JFTP errors will display always if there is an error with them. That isn't a PHP error, but a Joomla error message. Those have no option to hide them as they're generally bad things you want to fix.

Feel free to send admin rights, but not sure I'll be able to see anything either. The permissions will need to be set through your server though and I won't be able to change them through the admin area. Do you need to have the FTP access layer in Joomla enabled? If not, I'd recommend disabling it. Most sites don't need FTP at all, it's only if permissions are set in a weird way to begin with.

Hope that helps,
Alex
