After upgrading to 4.2.3 Joomla keep insisting that I'm running 4.2.2

I just upgraded JFBConnect from 4.2.2 to 4.2.3 but in Joomla backend I tsill have pending updates and it keeps telling me that my current version is 4.2.2. What I did is to download new version from your web site and install it on top of 4.2.2.... that's what your update instrucrions are suggesting.

I'm going to loose my settings if I uninstall and install it again? I couldn't figure out why your installer does not update the database but is it safe to manually increase component's version in the database and make Joomla happy? I'm pretty sure that all files are corectly updated but I can not tell if I have the database changes (if any)

I checked my database and indeed all component's versions was correctly updated. I dind't know the update manager's issue - after purging the cache and searching for new updates it finally shows me correct results. It's really confusing to get update notifications after manually checking every single file... but that's life
