Topic-icon Different URLs for K2 items creates different connections to FB

In my site, there are many ways to get to a specific K2 item: category page, tags page, user page etc.
From each page, the URL looks different.
I'm using only the core joomla SEF feature.

For facebook, they are all different pages, therefore, the comments are not collected under the item.

Can anyone recommend the best solution? Dose any of the SEF extensions (like SH404) can solve this problem?

Thanks,
Emanuel.

Emanuel,
Generally, if you have multiple menu items that go to different types of ways to view the article, it can cause the problem you mention. JFBConnect does try to eliminate some of those variables to try and create the same URL for each K2 article, but it doesn't always work that way.

Something like sh404 will usually solve the problem, but that's a big extension to add to your site for just that purpose. Can you point me to a few different URLs for the same article on your site so we can see how those URLs are being generated? It's possible (but not guaranteed) that we can help you get the more canonical URL with JFBConnect.

Thanks,
Alex

Hi Alex. Glad to hear from you again, though it is always when I have a wall to jump over :)

Here are 4 different URLs to the same K2 items:

Main link to the item - through an menu item type of K2 category, from there to the item itself
www.sh-taim.co.il/friends-blog/you-might...m/43-women-with-hope

If I go to a collection of categories and click an item from there (the same if someone clicks a tag and then an item):
www.sh-taim.co.il/friends-blog/item/43-women-with-hope

Another one, is generated by another component at the home page - "Frontend Slideshow" by JoomlaWorks (here by the way, there is a solution. I can choose a custom URL instead of K2 item. But maybe you have a solution which will let me keep the benefits of this feature):
www.sh-taim.co.il/component/k2/item/43-women-with-hope

The last one is generated by AcyMailing, as a link from a newsletter:
www.sh-taim.co.il/index.php?option=com_k...d=43:women-with-hope
