Hello Alzandar

Thanks for your reply! I just figure the previous problem out but I find that the main problem is about updating JFBCFan.

I updated JFBCFan and found that once I installed the 'com_jfbconnect_j2.5_v4.2.2.zip' file, my website will be crashed.

The whole website can not be loaded and shows 'HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error)'

Ks,
It sounds like the modules are properly installed, but there are no instances of it to configure. Simply click the "New" button in the top right of the Module Manager and select the module you want to create an instance of. Then, set it's template position, parameters, and publish it. You should be good to go.

When you install a module, Joomla will usually create a default, unpublished instance of it. But you can delete that instance and it will be gone from the Module Manager. It still is installed on your site and ready to be used once you create a new instance.

Hope that helps!
Alex

Moreover, the 'Autotune' Button is missing too. Should I uninstall JFBConnect again? How can it be done safely?

Ks,
If you're getting a 500 error on the front-end, check that you updated all parts of JFBConnect to use v4.2.x. Especially any profile plugins you need for 3rd party extensions you have installed.

If those are all up-to-date:
1) In the Global Config area of Joomla, set Error Reporting to Maximum and turn GZip compression off
2) Reload the front of the site. Hopefully there will be a PHP error that you can report to us or determine the cause of the problem yourself.

As for the Autotune button missing, that's not one we've heard of before. I wouldn't recommend uninstalling JFBConnect (though it shouldn't hurt anything). You should be able to simply install it like it was new and that will re-update everything. You should never down-grade JFBConnect to a previous minor version (like 4.1 if you were on 4.2).

Hope that helps, and please keep us posted on what you find.

Thanks,
Alex

The image you attached is of JFBConnect v4.1.1. That version does not have Autotune. Only version 4.2.x includes Autotune as that was a new feature in those releases.

Hope that helps,
Alex

Also, from your picture, you look to have installed every Profile Plugin and enabled them. Unless you actually have Community Builder, JomSocial, Kunena, and K2 installed, you should *not* enable those plugins. Only enable the profile plugins for extensions you have installed.

Thanks for your reply.

I will try to install updates one by one and see which one causes the 500 error.

No problem. Again, all of our extensions should be updated to 4.2.x. If you install the main component v4.2, but leave some of the modules or profile plugins at 4.1, that will be a problem until you upgrade those extensions as well.

Also, definitely make sure that you want all of those profile plugins enabled. My guess is that some of them should be disabled.

Thanks,
Alex

In order to make a thorough investigation, I restore my back up of the website. It works well.

1. I set Error Reporting to Maximum and turned GZip compression off.
2. I disable Community Builder, JomSocial, Kunena, and K2.
3. I updates the module one by one.

Now it seems fine.

And I will try to update the core components.
