The Facebook login/logout works fine. When a Joomla account user logs in, we get the 404 Error. Man, this is starting to confuse me. asmjoomla.frsbox.com/index.php?Itemid=1

Why is it looking for item ID 1, what does it think that is, and why don't I seem to have it? Is this a menu link I need to create that it thinks should be there for Joomla logins? I'm stumped.

SEF is turned off, btw.

Why doesn't' the same redirect for the Facebook login mirror the Joomla user login?

Alex, I've just made your account there a super user. Maybe you can get a better handle on what's wrong looking at the back end?

Can you open your SCLogin module and make sure the Joomla Login Redirection is setup correct? You may even want to try turning the redirection off altogether for now. The itemid=1 means that it's looking for the Menu Item with an ID of 1 (Which usually is your homepage). If you look through your menus, you should see it.. ideally, it's 'public' so anyone can access it.

The Joomla redirect and Facebook redirect are intentionally different to allow you to move people to different places depending on how the login. It does add some complexity, but more flexibility in redirections was requested *a lot* before we broke it all out.

I can't get into the site right now, but will be able to tomorrow. Let me know if the above doesn't work, and I'll try to help how I can.

Thanks,
Alex

I am sorry to say i have redirects turned off, and it still is doing it. I apparently don't have a menu item ID 1, so I guess work-arounds are to edit the page I want to have this take people to into "1" in the DB, or something drastic. Anyway, when you get a chance, please log into the site's back end and see what I've got wrong. I'm seeing a few places one can put redirects at login, maybe it could be streamlined in the future revs or something. Seems to be confusing a lot of us. You both are excellent programmers and give excellent support, BTW. I appreciate it.

The way our site is setup, for a list of reasons I won't bore you with, the menu item ID for where we want everyone to go using SClogin, no matter if its a Joomla or Facebook login, is 435, which is the page set as the default home page. I am guessing that the typical installation of Joomla's default page is menu item ID #1, but thats not at play anymore. Its the menu item that goes to asmjoomla.frsbox.com/ and is the default home page, where we have loadposition items in an article, etc.

The bottom line is I want the Joomla login to take people to the same place that the FB login takes people, and the logouts to do the same, which is always to that default page, which is menu item ID#435. Feel free to double check the back end when you get time to see if I'm making sense here, or if its just a setting I somehow have wrong, but right now I have module SCLogin set to appear only on the default page, SEF turned off and redirects turned off everywhere I can find to do so.

Thanks, Alex!

Mike,
The issue wasn't JFBConnect at all. I actually enabled the standard Joomla login module and the same behavior happened.

So, I went digging. The problem was the 'jomsocialredirect' plugin. Not sure what that plugin is doing, but I disabled it, and things worked. So.. if you need that plugin, re-enable it and configure it, or talk to the developers to figure out what's wrong with it.

Hope that helps,
Alex

That was fast, thanks. I don't know what the plugin was doing either, but if that fixed it, we may finally be golden :
