I had the symptoms as described above but now the login with facebook button is visible again but clicking it it just results in a blank page with the following url

www.domain.com/index.php?option=com_jfbc...w==&cb=1337185023493

If I refresh the page then I get green notice "facebook profile successfully connected"

Simon,
I split your topic off as it's likely not related to the other post (missing Login button).

If you're getting a white page, please set "Error Reporting" to "Maximum" in the Global Configuration area of Joomla and try again. Let us know the PHP error you're getting. That will help narrow down the solution.

You were of course correct. The facebook button issue had been simultaneous to our upgrading to 4.2.2. Needed to upgrade the community builder plugin which got forgotten in all the kerfuffle. All good now

I'm always right :D

Glad to hear it was simply an upgrade issue. It's definitely confusing now with all the files that need to be manually updated. That will be fixed in our 4.3 release in the summer (we hope!)
