Alex;

Almost out of the woods on this thing. Can you use FB to log into asmjoomla.frsbox.com and then log out and see if you get the same 404 error I am getting, or maybe you already know how to fix this?

JW,
I can't login to the page to begin with, actually. I'm seeing a few strange things, and they all could be related to your logout issue.. or could just be something different.

When I go to the page you posted, first off, there's no Login With Facebook button. When I click the Login link in the middle menu, I do go to a page with Login With FB text. However, the button isn't visible. There are some Javascript errors with Facebook's Javascript library that we've never seen before. Can you let me know if this is a new FB application, or an old one? Also, if you go through the Autotune section of JFBConnect for the Facebook Application, are most of the recommendations set.. mainly for Website URL and App Domain?

So, without the button being there, I can't click it to actually log in.

Another odd thing is that your site seems to be linking to an IP Address. I'm assuming you're aware of this, and I don't think it's causing the problem.. however, it's possible if there's some weird configuration going on that it's part of the issue.

Please let me know if the /login page is the right place to login, and if not, where I should. If you're seeing something different, or the same, let me know. It's always possible its just a hitch with Facebook itself.

Thanks,
Alex

Actually, just had another user post about an issue of modules/buttons not showing. This looks to be a Facebook problem.. but please let us know if you're seeing anything similar. We'll keep you posted as well.

Specifically, a bug entered today looks just like your problem:
developers.facebook.com/bugs/349984988390147

If you are seeing the missing button or other similar issues (right now, outside of your original 404 problem), feel free to click the "Does this repro describe your issue" link in the bug report.

Thanks,
Alex

To complicate things further, when I log into that site using my non-facebook login, I get the same 404 error now. However, when I click the HOME link in the error page, it does take me to the home page, and it does show me logged in.

You're right, the FB logo/image is no longer showing, and it was before. Let me see, that might be the wrong module in place there from some module template placement work an overseas developer was doing for me. So before we get too deep into the logo not showing, let me double-check that, but the original issues were happening with the logo/login for FB showing.

Yes, the template dev used the wrong login module. The logo for FB is showing up fine. Can you try this again and see if you get the same logout/login 404 or 500 issue?

Ugh, once again, I am no longer having the issues. Man, its like hearing a noise with the car, taking it to the mechanic and it stops making the noise. Oh well, just for fun if you happen to find a moment, please test a login/logout for me again. Meanwhile, I am going to delete any similar modules so my template folks don't post the wrong module again. They do great work, but sometimes thee are things that get lost in translation.

Yeah, still getting the 404 on occasion here, not sure why. It does allow the login, it just redirects to a 404 login page, which has the above info, but again when i hit the Home link the 404 page gives it takes me to the home page logged in correctly. Is this a redirect error possibly?

Mike,
I added your subscription to the miklaw account. Feel free to post from either going forward.

For the error on login.. I just registered. The reason things are intermittent, I think, is because you are trying to login in 2 different places:
* Your home page
* The JomSocial home page
You still have JomSocial's Facebook Connect functionality enabled. The blue Login With FB button on their home page is not from JFBConnect, but from JomSocial. When you click that button (I didn't try), my guess is that that is when you get an error. If I click it on the home page, which uses JFBConnect's button, it correctly leaves me on the home page without an error.

With that said, when I registered, I was redirected to a "403 - You are not authorized to view this resource" error page. The URL was /profile (not /community/profile, like I think it should have been for the JomSocial profile page). For this, can you go to the Configuration -> Login/logout area of JFBConnect and check your "Enable Enable User Redirection:" setting? For now, set it to "no" (to leave the user on the current page). If you really want to send them to their profile page, double-check the menu item you're using (or try others to test with).

Hope that all helps!
Alex
