Hello,
as of today, the latest version of SCLogin is 1.0.2,
which version do you have?

TIA,
There actually is a 1.0.3 version of the SCLogin module. The newest version only has some changes that were necessary for the LinkedIn extension, so it's not necessary for JFBConnect. However, if you want to have it update it, in Joomla 2.5, you can use the Extensions -> Installer and go to Updates. From there, if you 'Find Updates', you'll be able to automatically upgrade SCLogin to the latest so the version doesn't look out of date.

We're working on a better system to let you update inside the component itself and hoping to have that available in the next release.

Thanks,
Alex

I think JFB connect is great but the navigation on the site has some serious UI issues.
I am using J1.7 not 2.5 and i am looking to manually download and update the files.
Both my kunena and SC_login plugins are outdated.

Ive gone to www.sourcecoast.com/joomla-facebook/ but all it displays is

JFBConnect-4.1.2-Joomla17_Joomla25_20120131_unzip_first.zip 4.1.2 2012-01-31 16:06:02 Download
JFBConnect-4.1.2-Joomla15_20120131_unzip_first.zip 4.1.2 2012-01-31 16:05:23

Where on earth can i download the updated plugins? Is it even possible?

its really frustrating, even after using the search function and clicking on 20 threads with users having the same issue as me, i cant find out how.

Update: Well i found the kunena plugin - it was in the package it self. It was misleading to me because it said "added in January" when it was updated more recently then that, so i assumed it didnt have it

I still dont know where to get the SC_Login

Hello,
have you installed the component?
if so, take a look at the Module Manager there you'll find the SCLogin module.

The as Alex explained you can go to the Extensions Manager and from there find and update to the latest version (currently: 1.0.3).
also, as I said, since SCLogin comes with the component itself and not as an individual module, updating the component (i.e installing the latest version on top of the existing one, or again with the built-in update mechanism) you will gain the latest version of all the modules including SCLogin.

Let us know if that helped.

Hello,
there are a few things here:
  1. you should consider upgrading to the latest 2.5, since 1.7 is no longer supported by the Joomla Team.
  2. in J!1.7 the update mechanism is there, you just need to activate it (it's defaulted to OFF) - look for the disabled administrator plugins
  3. as I suggested, simply download the latest version of JFBC Component (from the subscription link you posted in an earlier post), and install it on top of the existing versions (as you would normally install any other extension).

let us know if that helped.
