Hi at the risk of sounding silly here goes my question. I am using the easy tag method of getting the facebook login integrated to my template so as to not interfere with the styles etc. The JFBlogin module doesn't fit with the style of my template. I know the module has the form displayed to guests and then it displays a welcome message kind of like this "Welcome, Username [log-out-button-here]" to loggedin/registered users.

My question then becomes this: For those of us using the easy tags, is there a way to display the welcome message?

That's not a bad question.. frankly, none are. Unfortunately, no, there isn't a tag.

If you're using a module that you can add PHP code to, we can easily help you to add the "Welcome xxx" tag, if you'd like. If it's just an HTML module, that's a bit tougher.

Let us know,
Alex

Hmm, thanks Alex. It looks like I may have to figure out a way to live without it as I am not using a php module. I am actually using your custom image link method in a menu item. So in my user menu I have a custom url/external url menu item pointing to "javascript:void(0)" onclick="jfbc.login.login_custom();" this worked in getting the facebook login up for the user to log in. Once logged in I display a different set of menu items to the registered group including a log out menu item, but I was hoping to be able to display a welcome, username message as well to guests and registered users. I guess I will try and see if any existing plugins can help. Thanks again.

Galileo,
Yeah, see what mean. Unfortunately, we don't have a tag for showing the username. I'm sure there are plugins out there for adding a tag for that, but I don't know of any offhand.

You could go crazy and use something like ReReplacer by NoNumber and make your own tag. Might be a bit of overkill though.

Best of luck,
Alex
