I have installed every extension and module provided in the JFBConnect-4.1-Joomla16_Joomla17_20120111_unzip_first.zip file. All the extensions installed correctly it's just not showing up in the module manager for me to enable it. Is there a specific zip file I need to verify I installed into my joomla install?

I am trying to run all of this inside of a Kunena forum.

Thanks.

Josh,
We've never heard of this issue before, so bare with a few questions.

If you go to the Install area of Joomla and go to "Manage", can you see the modules in there?
If you go to the JFBConnect Overview page (in the admin section) does it show the modules as installed but not published (a yellow icon) or installed and published (a green icon)? If it shows a red icon, that means that JFBConnect can't detect that the modules are installed at all.

If the above seems to indicate the extensions are installed, when you're in the module manager, try hitting the "Reset" button to clear any filters that may have been enabled. If you still can't find it, then try typing "jfbc" into the text filter and see if they show then.

If none of that works, let us know exactly what version of Joomla you're using, and we'll have to investigate a bit more.

Thanks,
Alex

All of the modules are showing installed (all the icons have the green check mark). When I go into Module manager I see all of the JFBC modules except for JFBCLogin. I removed the filters and saw an SCLogin (which is enabled along with all of the JFBC modules). However, this module doesn't seem to be the one showing a FB login button. I'm running Joomla 1.7.4, PHP 5.2.17 and Kunena 1.7.1. What I want to accomplish is where, at the top of the page, users have an option to login, I want to add the FB login button as well as add it to my registration page.

if you need to view my site to understand what I'm trying to get accomplished or to view the code that is being rendered it is areublind.com

Thanks for your help.

Josh,
Sorry, I read your post, but missed the title. I thought you were saying that no JFBC modules were showing.

For the Login module, JFBCLogin module is no longer what you should be using. JFBConnect now uses (and automatically installs) the SCLogin module. That's the combo login module that works for both JFBConnect and JLinked.

When using that, the Login with Facebook button should definitely show. On the page you sent me too, that module doesn't look to be enabled. Regardless of that though, if you check our integration doc for Kunena, your question is the only one we have:
www.sourcecoast.com/jfbconnect/docs/thir...tegration-for-kunena

Hope that gets you going on adding the button to your login area, but if not, let us know.

Thanks,
Alex

Alex,

Thank you so much that worked for adding the button. However, with the button added, if you click the login with facebook it goes to a plain screen with warnings and errors because it could not include files from components/com_community/jfbcprofiles/...etc. I looked on my server and that folder doesn't exist. Was this supposed to be created in the upload process of JFBConnect? Or is it a Kunena thing I need to install?

I'm using a standard Kunena template so I'm pretty sure it's not that. JFBConnect - Profiles - Community Builder is enabled which is the only community extension that appears in my Extension manager when I search for community.

The exact error is:
Warning: include_once(/home/content/71/8889971/html/components/com_community/libraries/core.php) [function.include-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/content/71/8889971/html/plugins/jfbcprofiles/jomsocial/jomsocial.php on line 475

Thanks,
Josh Richard

Go to your plugin manager, and filter by the type of "jfbcprofiles". Only enable the plugins for extension that you have installed. From your description, you have the JomSocial Profile Integration plugin enabled, but likely don't have JomSocial installed... don't do that! :D

If there are any others enabled that you don't need, turn them off (or install them altogether).

Hope that helps,
Alex

Josh,
Glad to hear that got it for you. We need to add more checks to prevent overzealousness, but until then, we'll just scold our users into submission :)

If you need anything else, just let us know, and good luck!
