Topic-icon Conflict with EasyBlog? {JFBC..code} appearing on surface

Hey Alex,

One more question regarding JFBConnect and EasyBlog. I've inserted the {JFBC...code} into my blog article. When viewing the article, all is well, and opengraph works properly. But, when viewing a list of blog items (with previews), the {JFBC...code} is showing up on the surface...it isn't staying hidden. Any idea why that would be happening?

Here is the link: www.laughablenews.com/EasyBlog/Latest.html

You'll see the code just below "Issue 01/2012 - The Laughable News - Online Edition", and above the large rectangular image for our Online Edition.

But, if you click the link to CONTINUE reading the full article, then the code doesn't appear on that full page. ??

Ryan,
Don't use EasyBlog, so don't know the exact answer. The problem looks to be how EasyBlog is generating the synopsis for that article. The JFBCGraph tag isn't closed (no final } mark), so our system plugin doesn't recognize it. If EasyBlog uses a Content plugin, try re-arranging that before, or after, the JFBCContent one.

Hopefully, that will make them play nice.

Let us know,
Alex

Hey Alex,

Problem solved. Inside EasyBlog there is the option to "Truncate blog content as intro text". You can do it via paragraph, words, or character. I had it set to YES and 150 characters. so, it was grabbing the first 150 characters, not caring about whether they were code or not.

I turned off the truncating, and just inserted a "Read More" line instead. All is well now :)

Glad to hear that got it for you. I can see adding a task for us to add those tags to the end of the content, instead of the beginning. That can case other issues though.. so who knows.

Glad to hear this got it going for you though!
