So I installed everything and all is running perfect.

Running the test, every time I clic on Login with Facebook it takes me to the following link: www.mydomain.com//component/jfbconnect/?view=loginregister and here is where the problems is, all the text related to JFBConnect is in english, everything else is in spanish.

Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix it?

Thanks

Carlos,
Make sure your Joomla language is set to Spanish. JFBConnect ships with a Spanish language file, but you'll need to make sure it's for your exact locale. You should check the /languages/xx_YY/ directory for xx_YY.com_jfbconnect.ini, which is the language file for the xx_YY language. If it's there, edit it so the strings are how you want them to show. If it's not there, you can copy it from the en_GB directory and update the strings however you want.

Hope that helps get you started, but if not, let us know!

Thanks,
Alex

Thank you Alex.

In fact the file in es-ES was not installed. I did as you said, but the file is not working at all. If a change the file en-GB it works. So, even thou my front end is set to Spanish JFB is reading the en-GB file.

Any idea how to fix this?

Can you copy the en-GB file to the es-ES directory and update that file? That should work. There's nothing in JFBConnect that defaults to en-GB or does any other out of the ordinary language stuff. We simply ask Joomla to load our language files, and it does it based on the system preference.

Are you using the Language Switcher system plugin with Joomla? All I can guess is that JFBConnect is being notified of the user's language preference and using that, but that should affect other areas of the site as well, not just JFBConnect.

If you can, please post (or private message) the url of the site you're working on. Just seeing the front-end might give more clues.

Thanks,
Alex

Alex thanks for such quick answers.

In fact I copied the en-GB file to the es-ES folder. Made some changes, but didn't work. If I change the file inside en-GB it shows right away.

The estrange thing is that all the site is in Spanish expect for JFB stuff.

Here is the link of the web page:

Thanks for the help

Carlos,
Sorry for the delay. No, I honestly don't have a clue why that's happening. We've never seen that before, and it sounds like an issue with Joomla loading the incorrect language file for our extension. If possible, we'd love to look into it further on your site. Can you send us a set of Super Admin credentials so we can poke around? If so, you can private message me by clicking the arrow under my picture (<----) and hitting the mail icon.

Sorry for the troubles,
Alex

Carlos,
I just edited the /language/es-ES/es-ES.com_jfbconnect.ini file and updated the following line by adding the word "Test" to the very end:

COM_JFBCONNECT_THANKS_FOR_SIGNING_IN="Thanks for signing in using Facebook. Do you already have an account on this site, or would you like to create one? Test"

When I go to login, I properly see that text in the top of the page. I left that text in there for now, so please remove it. All in all though, it does seem to be working. You will need to translate the strings in the file for your language though.

If you're still seeing issues, please update a line so it's different than the standard English, and we can test again.

Thanks,
Alex

After you make a change, you may want to clear your browser cache, in case that's where the remnant text is coming from.. just a thought.
