Kunena integration should work just fine with the Kunena profile plugin enabled. Please make sure that in the Profiles area of JFBConnect, you've enabled the avatar import settings. Can you also set some fields from Facebook to be imported into Kunena and tell us if those are imported properly (for example, import the FB Bio into the Signature field). That will help narrow down if it's just the avatar that's the issue, or everything.

Most of the development for the Kunena integration was done with Kunena 1.6.x. However, we have tested with the new 1.7.x series, but will do some more tests over the next day or so and make sure everything is working properly.

Thanks,
Alex

I seem to have problems with importing info into my Kunena as well using JFBC. I have tried the different solutions in here with order of plugins, updating to latest version, check if any info is imported (none), etc.

I have previously had privilege errors with my hosts who are very restrictive. Is there anything that needs to be opened up for to import avatars?

Kasper,
Is it just avatars that don't import, or is it profile fields as well? If it's just avatars it could be a permissions thing. If it's both, it's a configuration error or conflict somewhere.

Generally, if it's a configuration error, it can be caused by a few things, like:
* You have a different User plugin that's conflicting. Any User plugins that try to redirect the user on login are generally the culprit because they prevent our login flow from executing
* Your Kunena version isn't compatible with our plugin. Can you let me know what version of Kunena you're using? I think we support all the recent releases, but it's possible we missed something.

Thanks,
Alex

1. Only running JFBConnect and Joomla user plugins.
2. Running Kunena 1.7.2

I can however see in the User Map in the backend that it pulls my picture there.

The User Map isn't pulling the Avatar from your site, it's pulling it directly from Facebook.. so that's not an indication of it importing properly (or at all).

Based on your post (below), it sounds like your server just isn't connecting to Facebook's Profile/Avatar server. I think once we narrow that issue down, the above will start working:

This has been solved by opening up for the connect to profile.ak.fbcdn.net:80
