Hi,

I use Joomla 1.7 and installed JFBConnect on it.
After I upgraded on January 2nd to version 4.1.0 and setting up SCLogin, I got some problems.

First I was in a 310 error (loop). I disabled sh404sef for JFBConnect after searching in this forum. Loop seemed to be gone.
I even set the opensearch setting in the search module to "No" after reading about this in the forum.

But I got other errors: "Undefined". After logging in or out (this works now) the url gets and "/undefined" suffix and the page cannot be found.
After setting up the redirections in JFBConnect configuration those errors were gone.
Strange thing is, that this seemed to be happening on version 4.0.3 as well (I saw 404 urls's being generated in sh404sef).

I do not want the redirecting to be setup. I want the users to stay on the current page.

Is there any idea what is happening and is there a solution?

Kind regards,

Jan

Jan,
Sorry for the troubles. The 4.1.0 redirect issue for leaving the user on the current page will be fixed in the 4.1.1 release (due out next week, if not sooner). It only affects certain configurations of sites, and something we simply missed, unfortunately. Until then, we can only recommend setting explicit menu item redirects for new user, returning user, and logout URLs.

It's possible that's where the undefined links are coming from. The 4.1.0 release, even for the redirection issues it has, had a lot more testing with sh404SEF and other SEF extensions to fix a few common issues previously. You hopefully won't see the 404 URLs that could be generated in the 4.0.3 release (though not all 404's come from JFBConnect, of course).

Again, sorry for the troubles. We will always release small patches to releases as necessary when issues crop up, and we're very quick about getting those fixes out as soon as possible. The redirection issue is somewhat tougher to track simply because it involves a lot of variables. We're getting to the bottom of it though, and should have you fixed up in a few days or so.

Thanks,
Alex

Jan,
We'll definitely get things fixed up. We never like to have minor releases (x.x.1), but sometimes are necessary for minor glitches that come up once a release goes into widespread usage.

Thanks for your patience, and definitely keep us posted if you run into any other issues.

Alex
